Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, January 30, reveals Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) found Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) after speaking to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), who filled him in on the accusations against Gwen.
After Jack ripped into Gwen for helping Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) cover up the kidnapping chaos, he pushed her to make things right by testifying against him.
Gwen didn’t want to lose Xander, but Jack asked if she’d rather lose him instead.
Gwen realized Jack was giving her an ultimatum, so he confirmed that she’d be out of his life for good if she didn’t give a sworn statement to the cops.
Faced with the harsh reality of losing her father, her job and the roof over her head, Gwen had a tough choice to make.
At Xander’s motel room on Monday’s Days episode, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) showed up to admit his lawyer thought she could get him a plea deal.
When Xander learned Leo planned to testify against him, he began trying to seduce Leo in exchange for his silence.
Xander eventually convinced Leo, who was ready to sleep together as his reward.
However, it turned out to be Xander’s trick since he ultimately tried to strangle Leo on the bed.
Once Xander released Leo from his chokehold, he warned that Leo would join Susan in the afterlife if he said a word to the cops.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) gave Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) updates on finding Xander half-naked with Gwen.
Whether Sarah misunderstood the situation or not, she couldn’t trust Xander anymore and wanted a divorce.
Justin agreed to draw up the paperwork right away, but Maggie was disappointed over Sarah giving up on Xander since he had a good heart.
Nevertheless, Sarah’s mind was made up, so she arrived at Xander’s motel room, handed him the divorce papers and insisted their marriage was over.
In the town square on Monday’s DOOL show, Leo found Gwen and revealed that he’d decided not to testify.
Gwen also shared the news that she was standing by Xander, so Jack threw her out, fired her from The Spectator and disowned her.
Meanwhile, Jack picked up a photo of himself with Gwen and threw it in the trash.
In Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) hotel suite, he demanded answers since Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) said she wanted to consummate their marriage and then tried to slip out like cat burglar.
Gabi acted like she changed her mind, but Li wasn’t buying that and assumed Gabi came to rummage around.
Once Li noticed the drawer was ajar, he pulled out his burner phone and saw that a call was made to Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) while he was in the shower.
Gabi eventually admitted she’d never give up on Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and hinted about not giving him a choice in the matter.
Once Gabi was gone, Li made a call in hopes of keeping Dr. Rolf away from Salem permanently.
In the DiMera secret room on Monday’s Days episode, Stefan’s hands were still tied to the chair as he struggled to get his phone out of his pocket.
After dropping it on the floor, Stefan took off his shoe and tried to use his toe to call for help.
Suddenly, a call came in from Statesville, but Stefan had a hard time accepting the charges with tape over his mouth.
Once Stefan finally flung the tape off, he accepted and was relieved to hear Vivian Alamain’s (Louise Sorel) voice.
Unfortunately, Vivian wasn’t happy since Stefan had been back from the dead for months and still hadn’t come to visit her.
Stefan frantically tried to convince Vivian to help him since Gabi was holding him hostage, but Vivian remained irritated.
When Gabi returned, she intercepted the call and acted like Dr. Rolf might’ve brainwashed Stefan into not loving Vivian, too.
Gabi told Vivian that she’d make sure Stefan visited once a week once he was deprogrammed and told Stefan that his mom was “Team Stabi.”
Soon after on Monday’s Days episode, Dr. Rolf showed up at the secret room.
Gabi revealed that Dr. Rolf was there for Stefan’s deprogramming, so Stefan remained in a tight spot.
