General Hospital Recap: Monday, March 20 – Carly Finds Valentin Alive – Spencer’s Ace Custody Deal with Victor

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, March 20, reveals that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) realized Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) had escaped from the safe house.

That led to Valentin insisting they needed to make arrangements and get out of the country, but Anna refused to bail on their best shot at nailing Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

After Anna left to find Lucy and bring her back, Valentin flipped the coffee table over in frustration.

At the Metro Court on Monday’s GH episode, disguised Lucy slipped past Victor undetected and hid behind a menu in the patio area.

That gave Lucy a chance to listen as Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) discussed the Nurses Ball, which they found easy to plan.

Maxie and Bobbie felt like Lucy had exaggerated some of her duties to make herself seem important.

While Bobbie was in the powder room, Lucy snuck off. Maxie eventually received news about the Deception office door triggering an alarm, so she assumed Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) had set it off again and went to deal with it.

After Maxie made it to Deception, she was grabbed from behind. Maxie used a self-defense move and turned around to see that Lucy had ambushed her.

Although Maxie was relieved to see Lucy alive, she had questions about Lucy hiding out and surprising her like this.

Anna ultimately barged in, so Maxie was glad to see her as well – though she was even more confused about what was going on.

However, Anna acted like there was no time to explain and wanted Lucy to come with her right now.

Back at the Metro Court bar, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) sought Victor’s help getting custody of Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

Victor was sure they could work something out, but he hinted about needing certain guarantees from Spencer in return.

Bobbie interrupted to hurl accusations about Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) death, but Spencer was willing to give Victor the benefit of the doubt since there was no proof.

After Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) took Donna Corinthos (Arya & Ayla Dormiani) home, she made her way to the footbridge and found Valentin.

Carly pointed out that Valentin was supposed to be dead and suggested he needed to give her a reason to keep his secret.

Valentin admitted he was trying to prove Victor murdered Luke, but Carly wondered how she could trust him.

Even after Valentin added that Victor framed Anna for Lucy’s murder, Carly still seemed skeptical of his motives.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) talked to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about having time to order a custom gown since they were delaying their wedding until after the transplant.

When Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) appeared, Willow asked if he’d be willing to walk her down the aisle, so he was honored.

Meanwhile, Michael privately opened up to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about his concerns regarding Willow and whether she’d get the transplant in time, so Brook Lynn offered support.

Brook Lynn wondered if Willow might be more willing to bond with Nina, but Michael felt that had to be Willow’s decision.

After Michael headed out, Brook Lynn spoke to Willow, who reflected on when she married Chase because she thought he was dying.

Once Brook Lynn asked if Willow regretted that marriage, Willow said she regretted the pain it caused because Chase was so deserving of love.

Based on the reaction that comment got, Willow could tell Brook Lynn was still in love with Chase.

At Sonny’s penthouse, he reflected on the tough losses he’d already faced.

Sonny refused to let anything happen to Nina, so he made it clear they had to keep their distance until the threat was eliminated.

Nina pushed Sonny to promise that they’d have a future together, so Sonny insisted Nina was his future and gave her a kiss before she left.

At Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) apartment, he admitted that he felt like he owed Sonny for saving his life.

At the same time, Sonny was indeed guilty of crimes that he needed to pay for.

Dex was torn since he knew he’d feel guilty if he secured evidence that put Sonny away.

Josslyn pointed out that Dex could vanish, but she had to stay since her family was there – and they needed her.

Dex respected that and made love to Josslyn before assuring her that she was all that mattered.

Josslyn remained curious about Dex’s mysterious boss – and moments later, Michael banged on the door since he needed to talk to Dex.

Back on the footbridge, Drew found Carly with Valentin.

After Valentin pushed Drew to help him convince Carly of his intentions, Drew insisted he needed to know his whole plan.

General Hospital spoilers say Valentin will do his best to get Drew on board with his scheme, so stick with us for updates on Victor’s downfall.
