General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, September 25, reveals that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) doctor expressed concern to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) since Drew still hadn’t regained consciousness, so he asked her to let him know when the test results were in.
When Jake Webber (Hudson West) showed up insisting he needed to talk to Liz about Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), she sent him off to the side to wait for her.
That gave Elizabeth a chance to speak with a frantic Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), who was Drew’s emergency contact and would be able to get info from the doctor as soon as they knew more.
Carly learned that Drew hadn’t regained consciousness since his beating and expressed her fears.
Liz was also worried about Jake’s reaction since he’d already lost Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Soon after, Liz spoke to Jake, who admitted he’d been out with Charlotte last night and not his buddy named Angus. Jake was apologetic over the lie and wanted to tell Liz since Charlotte had been posting selfies of their time together.
On Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) sofa, Charlotte had a nightmare about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) insisting that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was all hers now and that he didn’t have time for his daughter anymore.
Charlotte woke up startled, but she pretended she didn’t recall what the nightmare was about when Nina encouraged her to open up.
Back at the hospital, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) found Anna and admitted she didn’t deserve all the anger Portia previously unleashed on her.
That said, Portia was still upset that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was paying the price for someone else’s actions.
After Valentin came back to Nina’s place and learned Charlotte had a nightmare, Nina privately suggested she might’ve been dreaming about what she did to Anna.
Valentin hoped the surprise he had in store would help them all move forward.
Nina tagged along as Valentin showed Charlotte the new house he’d purchased for them, so Charlotte was over the moon.
While Valentin was taking a phone call, Charlotte flashed back to her time in boarding school and recalled opening a package that had been shipped to her. It contained a deck of tarot cards and a lengthy letter.
Valentin jolted Charlotte back to the present and wondered if she was OK, so Charlotte reassured him and said everything was going to be perfect.
At Charlie’s Pub, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) made a pitch for why Blaze aka Alison Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) should sign with her now that she was getting back into music management.
Blaze was quickly convinced and said OK, but Brook Lynn was so caught up in her pitch that she missed it.
However, Brook Lynn eventually realized that Blaze was on board and was pleased over her speedy willingness to sign.
Blaze pulled up the article about Brook Lynn’s firing from Deception and wondered if that had anything to do with her career change, but she trusted BLQ to treat her right.
Brook Lynn brought up Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) being a music manager and insisted music was in her blood.
Blaze was grateful to Brook Lynn for standing up for against Linc Brown (Dan Buran) and made it clear that she was ready to sign right away, so they shook on the deal.
Nearby, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) gave Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) updates on Molly Lansing-Davis’ (Brooke Anne Smith) surrogate being pregnant, so Kristina grumbled over Molly not even passing along the news herself.
Kristina’s feelings were hurt, especially once she realized it wasn’t Molly’s idea to fill her in. Alexis advised Kristina to give Molly some space and let her reach out after sharing this celebratory moment with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
Talk turned to Kristina’s first board meeting for her new foundation, so she looked over at Blaze and got a big idea about fundraising.
At GH again, Molly found TJ during his conversation with Curtis. Once Molly revealed that Andrea Gates (Lily Anne Harrison) was pregnant, TJ was thrilled.
Molly mentioned that Alexis was going to tell Kristina, which TJ was OK with – though he felt they should keep this pregnancy info within the family for now.
While Molly stepped away for a call, Curtis said he’d never seen TJ so happy. TJ asked how he could be happier and exclaimed that he was going to be a dad!
After Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) informed Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that Drew had been attacked in prison, Sonny threw some items off his desk in a fit of rage.
Since somebody went against Sonny’s orders, he told Dex they would find out who it was and make them pay.
Sonny went with Dex to the hospital, where Dex called Nina to fill her in on the situation.
Carly also confronted Sonny since he was supposed to keep Drew safe and now he might not even be alive for an early release!
Once Sonny urged Carly not to jump to the worst-case scenario, he caught a glimpse of Portia celebrating good news with Curtis, Molly and TJ. Portia realized Sonny was there, so she wheeled Curtis away before they could interact.
Later, Sonny wound up in the chapel with Anna and confessed that he was beginning to question whether the life he chose was worth it.
After Elizabeth told Jake what happened to Drew, that left Jake crying about how Drew had to be OK.
Once Carly summoned Ava Jerome (Maura West) to the hospital, she ran into Nina and asked what she was doing there. Nina confirmed that she heard about Drew before the doctor returned to reveal that Drew was in emergency surgery.
Drew being unconscious for so long likely saved his life since he broke a rib that was threatening his aorta. If Drew’s movement hadn’t been limited, this incident could’ve been fatal.
The doctor told Carly that they wouldn’t have more answers until the surgery was finished, so she was left to worry about Drew’s condition.
General Hospital spoilers say Carly will continue to play the blame game when it comes to what Drew’s been through, so stay tuned.
