General Hospital Recap: Thursday, April 13 – Victor’s Pathogen to Wipe Out Innocent Lives – Obrecht’s Shocking Role Revealed

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 13, reveals that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) met with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in her office and delivered bad news. Portia and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) got updates on the hostage situation on The Haunted Star, which seemingly included Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Although the GPS tracker had been removed from the ship, Curtis felt confident that Trina was already trying to find a way out of this mess.

As Curtis comforted Portia, he made it clear that he’d come to Trina’s rescue himself if all else failed.

Meanwhile, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) showed up at GH and learned Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) pulled through her surgery.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) filled Sonny in before he vowed to make Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) pay like he’d never paid before.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) let Sonny and Laura know Trina was believed to be tangled in Victor’s web now.

Soon after, Laura met with Jordan, who wanted to be part of the Victor takedown plan with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).

Once Sonny talked to Dante about how helpless he felt during Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) battle with Alzheimer’s, he worried about how Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was coping with Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) ordeal.

Although Sonny didn’t think Michael would listen to him, Dante convinced him to reach out to his son anyway.

In Anna’s GH room, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was elated to see her awake and alert.

Anna came off the ventilator and learned she was expected to make a full recovery, so she thanked her doctor.

After Anna assured Valentin that he was stuck with her and gave him a kiss, she pushed for details on Victor and what he was up to.

Valentin explained that Victor had taken the necklace along with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) on The Haunted Star.

That led to questions about Victor’s agenda and what role Liesl played.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Willow told Michael that she wanted to marry him today, so he assured her that he wanted to be her husband.

However, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) convinced Willow to wait until tomorrow so they’d have a little longer to plan the ceremony.

In a moment alone with her fiancé, Willow admitted she worried Michael would resist and think she was giving up.

Although Willow was keeping hope alive that Liesl would be found for the transplant, she wanted to be realistic about not having much time left and filling her final days with joy.

Michael understood and felt that their wedding could be an act of faith about the many years they would still have together.

After Willow privately asked Brook Lynn to be there for Michael, BLQ cornered him outside and offered support.

Since both Willow and Michael had a lot on their plates, Brook Lynn suggested maybe it was time to share the same one and communicate their real feelings with each other.

When Sonny called, Michael answered and tried to insist this wasn’t a good time. Sonny convinced Michael to hear him out, so he talked about knowing what it was like to feel helpless.

Once Sonny vowed to be there for Michael if he ever needed him, Michael got choked up and seemed to appreciate the offer.

On The Haunted Star, Ambrose (Charles Ambrose) came to get Spencer for breakfast in the dining room and left the deadbolt undone since Spencer wasn’t going to be in his own room for a while.

That gave Trina a chance to slip out undetected, so she ultimately lurked outside the communications room and waited for Spencer to create a diversion.

Next, Spencer joined Victor and Liesl at a table and learned he could see Ace after breakfast was over. Since Spencer and Liesl wanted answers, Victor finally revealed his grand plan.

Victor talked about ushering in a new era for humanity and reflected on working with Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) all those years ago on a climate change device to reverse mankind’s mistake.

That plan fell apart, but Victor had other ways of accomplishing his goals and mentioned a set of tools that were stored in bunkers.

Only Mikkos knew the location of these bunkers and had put the coordinates on the Ice Princess.

Liesl asked if Victor had Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) killed to get his hands on that diamond, so Victor said that sometimes sacrifices must be made for the greater good.

Victor talked about taking extreme measures due to the massive population of the planet and the strain it was putting on resources.

It couldn’t be sustained, so Victor’s strategy was to fix it by unleashing a pathogen stored in one of the bunkers.

This pathogen would reduce the population to more manageable numbers and the survivors would usher in the new era Victor had talked about.

Spencer lashed out over all the innocent people who would have to die, but Victor warned that no one would stop him now – not even Spencer.

As for Liesl, her role was to make sure Victor, Spencer and Ace were properly inoculated.

Liesl refused to help Victor pull this off, but he insisted there’d be dire consequences if she didn’t do her part.

Suddenly, Spencer grabbed a knife off the table and yanked Liesl out of her seat. Obrecht was taken aback as Spencer held that knife to her throat.

General Hospital spoilers say Spencer will do his best to distract Victor and give Trina a chance to carry out the next phase of the escape mission.
