General Hospital (GH) spoilers’ recap for Thursday, September 22 notes some interesting moments in the land of Port Charles. Time to dive right in!
The show opens with Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) struggling to finish a song at the Q mansion, as Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) walks into the room. She tells him about a meeting she has with Blaze to become the singer’s music manager, and it looks very promising.
Eddie mentions that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) has called him for a gig at the Savoy tonight, but he can’t seem to finish the song he promised to sing. Brook Lynn advises Eddie to not rush the process, and possibly do some covers, which would be “safer”.
He asks if she’ll come to see him, and she says yes, but advises there’s someone else he may want to invite to the gig. Eddie heads out to do some inviting, and Brook Lynn calls Blaze to tell her she’s looking forward to their meeting.
Over at the Metro Court offices, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) is at her desk when Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) drops in for a visit. Anna swings by to talk to her about the Metro Court surveillance and learns that this is the first time Olivia has heard about her hotel room break-in.
She notes, questionably, that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) usually informs her of this type of stuff. Anna asks if she can look into the footage now, as when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) looked into it, the video was missing. Olivia agrees wholeheartedly.
She mentions that the Metro Court has a top-notch system that only Nina and she can access. All video footage is archived for three years before being deleted. Still, when Olivia tries to find the footage, she notices the videos have been deleted.
Anna claims that whoever was involved in deleting the footage did a sophisticated job.
Olivia calls Nina to ask her about Anna’s break-in and the lost footage, and Nina fluffs her off, saying they can discuss it when she gets to the office. Olivia seems mystified by Nina’s behavior.
Meanwhile at Nina’s condo, Valentin is there and feeling completely guilty over how he’s parented Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) these past few months.
Nina tries to console him, but he literally has no idea what his 15-year-old daughter has been up to lately. Could she be behind Anna’s house burning down?
Valentin notes she was at camp at the time, but she was only an hour away and could’ve called in a ride-share, so it’s possible.
Valentin decides that having Charlotte come live with him full-time is the only way to be able to monitor what she’s up to and get to the bottom of things, after all, she’s been living with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) recently.
Over at the jail, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) gives Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) a call while she’s at Kelly’s, all while Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is secretly listening in behind a door.
They catch up, and she asks about any information on Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth), and Drew reports, “nothing”. Before hanging up, Carly advises him to be careful, and if he feels danger looming, to stop his snooping.
Of course, he hangs up the jail phone and the guard whom he asked for info. from approaches Drew and says he knows who Dr. Austin came to see recently.
The guard notes that he came to see a prisoner named Bobby Lennon. Drew questions the information he’s given, but the guard states he got it from the warden’s “right hand”.
After his conversation with Drew, Cyrus sneaks by and says, “good work” and that his son will be more than taken care of now, a much better reward than some internship at Aurora.
Cyrus eventually catches up with Drew and offers a warning. Cyrus tells Drew that the warden is up for a job promotion and doesn’t want any shenanigans to take place. He states Drew needs to gear up for a possible “lockdown”, which seems a little suspicious to Drew.
Across town, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) meet for breakfast for personal and professional reasons.
They flirt a tad before Robert notes he’s done some digging on Drew’s judge and realizes that he has some information that can help. The judge is looking for a promotion and wanted to make an example of Drew.
Diane questions why, and Robert notes, not so much for Drew, but for his girlfriend and her ex, alluding to Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Diane is delighted with the information, but before the two can celebrate, Anna walks into the restaurant and Robert abruptly says he has to end their breakfast; Diane doesn’t seem thrilled.
Robert joins Anna at a table and presents a gift to her – a digital frame with pictures upon pictures over the years. Of course, they both start laughing and Anna gets emotional; she lost many photos in the blaze.
Diane gets further agitated by the banter between Anna and Robert that she leaves the restaurant, rather upset that the two are together.
Over at the hospital, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) starts back on her first day on the job as a nurse, she left due to her illness.
Of course, Sam steps out of the elevator talking to Dante and both realize they need a copy of Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) toxicology report from the day she stabbed Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to help prove their case against Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder).
The PCPD is taking forever on this, and Sasha’s running out of time. Sam takes one glimpse at Willow while at the nurse’s station and comes up with an idea. She asks Willow if she’d be willing to get her a copy of the report, and she does not hesitate to come through.
Willow pulls it up on the hospital computer, takes a snapshot, and sends it to Sam, who in turn, shows it to Dante. The report reveals a drug was given to her that, mixed with her antidepressants, could bring on hallucinations. Sam says it’s a good start to bringing Dr. Montague down.
Speaking of Dante, Valentin swings by the PCPD to talk to him and tell him that he’s taking Charlotte back full-time. The meeting is a tad tense, but he thanks him and Sam for watching over Charlotte.
Nina enters Kelly’s with Charlotte, and Carly greets them (well, Charlotte, anyway). Carly asks the teen if she wants her regular order, and Charlotte happily says “yes” to French toast.
Charlotte mentions that she comes to Kelly’s all the time with Jake Spencer (Hudson West), and Nina flashbacks to all the times Charlotte talked about Jake in her office yesterday, she looks on, concerned.
During a chat, Carly mentioned how much Charlotte reminds her of Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) at that age. She also tells Charlotte that while she may be a Cassadine, not to forget she’s a Spencer, too.
During their meal, Nina brings up Lulu, and Charlotte admits she misses her. She’s excited to be moving in with her “Papa” full-time again, though as that will help, but Charlotte’s demeanor changes a tad when it’s mentioned that Anna will be living with them, too.
Diane enters Kelly’s and tells Carly the good news: Robert delivered some interesting information that can help them in their appeal case to get Drew out of prison.
Back at the Metro Court offices, Olivia is yelling at the surveillance company that organizes their video footage. She notes that the Metro Court pays them a ton of money, and it looks like Olivia will not let this “lost footage” go.
Eddie enters her office, timidly amongst her yelling, and her expression softens. She gets off the phone and he tells her about the Savoy gig he has.
Olivia excitedly jumps into his arms to congratulate him, and they look into each other’s eyes, share a moment, but break apart before they can kiss.
