General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 28, reveals that Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) ignored Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) orders to get out of Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) suite. Eileen covered by acting like it was the DA’s office and insisted that she needed more time for her meeting.
While Victor was speaking with someone from his team in another room, Eileen picked up the flash drive with the decryption key and pocketed it.
Although Eileen tried to leave soon after, Victor made it clear that he said when she could go.
After Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) ran into Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) at the Metro Court, they made plans to hang out until Anna’s call interrupted them.
Anna pushed Robert to get Eileen out of Victor’s suite now, so he wound up sharing an elevator with a suspicious Diane.
Once Diane realized Robert was headed to Victor’s suite, she bribed a maid and got him a master keycard.
Robert used that to enter Victor’s hotel room, but there was no sign of a struggle nor was anyone around.
At the safe house, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was frustrated over Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) not returning her texts and complained to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).
Felicia also met with Anna and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) on Tuesday’s GH episode, so that led to Anna realizing Eileen may have been going after the decryption key.
Although Felicia felt that’d put them a step ahead of Victor, Valentin warned that people who think they’re a step ahead of Victor tend to get stabbed in the back.
On the footbridge, Eileen was confused about why Victor had taken her there along with his henchman.
Victor said he liked privacy for this sort of thing and clicked his tongue once his henchman found the flash drive in Eileen’s pocket.
Once Victor said the decryption key didn’t belong to Eileen, he wondered why he shouldn’t kill her right then.
Eileen insisted she knew things – like the fact that Valentin, Anna and Lucy were alive at a safe house somewhere in Port Charles.
After Eileen admitted the necklace was a forgery, she offered to help get Victor the real one.
Victor eventually forced Eileen to call Anna and act like he didn’t suspect anything.
Eileen also said she was leaving the country and getting as far away from Victor as possible.
Once Eileen hung up, Victor insisted Eileen would never have to worry about Anna again and hurled the traitor off the footbridge into the water below.
Backstage ahead of the Nurses Ball, Maxie griped when Lucy got her on the phone since they previously agreed to texts only.
Lucy convinced Maxie to wear an earpiece so that she could still deliver orders in real time.
However, Lucy wasn’t happy about the decision to have Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) take the lead and kept giving Maxie all kinds of notes.
Maxie caught Bobbie, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) off guard by blurting something out at Lucy, but she managed to cover.
Once Maxie put her foot down and warned Lucy to trust her to handle everything, she ditched the earpiece and hung up.
Lucy insisted that the Nurses Ball needed her and bolted like she was planning on sneaking out again.
Back with Brook Lynn, Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel) sought her help with the lighting for Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) performance, so that led to Chase and Brook Lynn talking about all the yearning and chemistry of the love song.
At Charlie’s Pub, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) confirmed that it was his idea to bring Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) and Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) assured Cam that it was his party, so he could invite anyone he wanted.
Liz said it was good to see Esme outside of Spring Ridge, so Esme took a jab about the time she spent locked up at Wyndemere.
Elizabeth apologized for helping with the captivity situation, so Cameron forced Esme to acknowledge that apology.
Although Esme was certain no one wanted her there, Cameron pushed her to stick around and start proving she’d changed.
Cameron also filled Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) in on how he caught Esme trying to skip town with Ace, so he didn’t want to leave her alone.
Spencer planned to have a little chat with Esme about trying to flee with his baby brother, but Laura insisted this wasn’t the right time.
Even so, Spencer flashed back to his conversation with Victor, who had vowed not to let Esme raise the new Cassadine heir.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) talked to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) about how Esme was bad news – with or without her memories.
Nevertheless, Josslyn approached Esme and gave her a tip about switching arms while holding Ace occasionally.
Esme assured Josslyn that she didn’t remember leaking the video and acted like she only wanted to focus on being a good role model for Ace now.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) showed up and complained about Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) throwing all his suits out in the hallway since she was still angry with him.
Liz felt guilty, but Scott didn’t blame her for anything.
Scott also made a speech to wish Cameron luck on his new Stanford adventure and let him know he was giving him some money.
Later, Cam shared an emotional hug with Liz since he hated to leave, but he also couldn’t wait to get there.
Elizabeth was worried since she couldn’t reach Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) and feared she might’ve lost a friend due to what happened with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).
Once Liz finally got someone to pick up Epiphany’s phone, a state trooper answered and admitted he had some bad news.
Elizabeth got updates that the audience didn’t hear and looked devastated as she teared up.
