General Hospital Recap: Tuesday, May 2 – Valentin Injected with Pathogen – Sonny Takedown Truth Causes Willow’s Collapse

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 2, reveals that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) explained his pathogen plan to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), who offered his father a better way to save the world and get his son back.

Valentin pushed Victor to let the hostages go and then team up with him to set the world right with no lives lost.

However, Victor felt that drastic measures were necessary and refused to make the mistake of trusting Valentin again.

Since Valentin refused to give up his accomplices, Victor said Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) would inject Valentin with the pathogen and warned that it would deliver an almost immediate onset of symptoms.

If Valentin provided the answers Victor was after, he’d be given the antidote that they were reasonably certain would be effective.

If Valentin stayed silent or took too long, then Valentin would likely die without the antidote.

Liesl warned that Victor could be signing his son’s death warrant, but Victor insisted Valentin wasn’t his son anymore.

An apologetic Liesl was forced to inject Valentin, whose nose began to bleed moments later.

At GH, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) was snoring in Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) old hospital bed when Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) showed up to check Anna’s vitals.

Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) refused to let Liz in and urged her to just trust him on this, so she gave him 30 extra minutes.

However, Scott woke up and called the WSB about Victor’s biological weapon, so an agent showed up and forced his way in the room where Scott was waiting.

Liz also got updates on Scott getting drugged to prevent him from spilling this news, but Robert blew up at him for putting Liesl and the other hostages in danger.

In Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office, she filled Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) in on Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) phone call and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) note about the rescue mission.

Although Portia was distraught over the whole hostage situation, Marshall vowed to be there for her no matter how long it took and pulled her into a hug.

When Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) tried to run from a couple guards on the ship and check on Trina, he riled up one who seemed particularly eager to make him pay.

Curtis appeared in his guard disguise and acted like it wasn’t a good idea to harm Victor’s family.

After Curtis headed for Trina’s room, Spencer took a beating from the disgruntled guard and later collapsed on the floor.

As for Trina, she was relieved when Curtis knocked out the guard posted at her room.

Curtis hugged Trina and assured her that he was there to rescue her along with Spencer and Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

Curtis wanted to get Trina out and come back for the others afterward, but she refused to leave Spencer behind.

That led to Curtis getting in a physical confrontation with some guards near the dining area while Trina prepared to help Spencer.

After Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) carried Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) over the threshold, she kissed him as they continued to celebrate their marriage.

Nevertheless, Willow remained concerned about what would happen if the family ended up divided because of Michael’s feud with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Michael decided he couldn’t keep his Sonny takedown plans a secret any longer, so he showed Willow the incriminating footage and explained that he could send his father to prison for the rest of his life.

Willow also found out about Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) secretly working for Michael, so she got increasingly upset by all these revelations and fainted on the sofa.

That left Michael in a panic as he rushed to Willow’s aid and urged her to talk to him.

In Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) dorm room, she canoodled with Dex in bed and told him about all the wedding bliss before the SEC drama.

Josslyn admitted that Sonny came through by helping Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) evade the SEC agents who were after him, so Dex said Sonny had impeccable timing.

After Josslyn heard about the new evidence that was sent to her brother, Dex guessed Michael would give it to the authorities.

Josslyn was hopeful that they could all move on with Sonny behind bars, but she worried Dex might go down, too.

Dex suggested that if it was an issue, he should be able to cut a deal since he turned the evidence over.

When Josslyn asked if there was any way Sonny could get out of this, Dex didn’t see how.

That left Dex wondering if Josslyn wanted Sonny to get away with his crimes, but she acted like Sonny brought this on himself.

General Hospital spoilers say Michael will have to make some difficult choices regarding Sonny’s future, so stay tuned.
