General Hospital Recap Wednesday, February 8 – Baby Amelia Grace’s Name Chosen – Liz Spills to Scott

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 8, reveals that Ava Jerome (Maura West) dreamed Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was haunting her in bed. Nikolas insisted what they had was forever and that Ava would never be free.

After Ava seemingly woke up, she saw blood on her hand and lifted the covers to find a huge bloody spot next to her.

Ava freaked out and woke up for real this time, but she grew concerned over someone opening the door to her bedroom.

Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) entered and reminded Ava that she asked him to stay the night after all the deadly Nik drama.

Although Austin wanted to talk about what came next, Ava urged him to leave and forget any of this ever happened.

Austin wondered what Ava would say when people asked questions about Nikolas, so she suggested she’d say he demanded Wyndemere and stormed off once she refused.

Ava once again urged Austin to leave and forget about all this, but he couldn’t do that since Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) was after her.

That left Ava glad that Austin showed up instead of Mason last night.

At GH, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) woke up to a thrilled Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and demanded to see their baby right now.

After Willow learned her heart stopped in the OR, she recalled hearing Michael’s voice telling her to come home and live.

Meanwhile, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) realized Willow was awake and shared the good news with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who texted Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) as well.

Sonny thought it was amazing that the baby was going to save Willow’s life through the harvested stem cells.

Next, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) admired her grandniece through the window and gushed to Nina.

Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) also came to see the baby and check on Liesl after Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) memorial.

Once Nina got Sonny’s text, she let Liesl and Scott know that Willow was awake.

Back with Sonny and Carly, they also admired the baby before she was wheeled in for a visit with Willow.

After the nurse handed over the little one, Willow was overwhelmed with joy.

At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) asked if Liz had seen Nikolas.

Elizabeth admitted she hadn’t and pointed out that she thought her friendship with Nikolas might be over.

After Liz found out Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was planning to sue for custody of Nikolas and Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) baby, Laura hinted about Spencer holding something unforgivable over his father.

Nikolas was devastated according to Laura, who said he looked like he finally lost everything.

Laura pushed for answers about what Nik had done to Elizabeth, but Liz offered a vague explanation about him taking her personal pain and making it about himself.

Laura was sorry for Nikolas’ sake since Liz had been such a good influence on him. Liz insisted she wasn’t always and pointed out she wasn’t as perfect as Laura thought.

Elizabeth felt her friendship with Nikolas was bad for both of them, so Laura understood that saving Nik from himself wasn’t Liz’s responsibility.

Liz didn’t think it was Laura’s responsibility either, but Laura refused to give up on her son.

At The Invader, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) sought Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) hypothetical legal advice.

After Finn asked what kind of charges someone would face for being an accessory to a felony, he added that he was asking for a friend.

Alexis heard a few more details and suggested this person would be an accessory after the fact, but she still felt they’d probably go to prison if they went to the cops.

Even so, Alexis thought it was best to get ahead of this if there was a chance the truth could come out.

Alexis also wondered if they would consider testifying against the person who committed the crime in the first place.

Finn didn’t think so, but he suggested he could try to convince his friend.

Alexis noted that cooperating with the police could reduce the punishment and insisted a real lawyer should help Finn’s friend with the case.

When Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) arrived, Finn took off in a hurry.

Gregory was confused about why, but he ultimately shifted gears and wanted to brainstorm with Alexis.

That left Alexis pointing out that she thought Gregory had classes this morning.

Since Gregory never talked about his school schedule, Alexis noted that he didn’t seem as invested in teaching as he used to be.

Gregory downplayed the idea that he’d lost interest, but Alexis pushed him to accept a new job as a journalist.

Back with Michael, he told Willow that their little girl needed a name. Willow insisted she knew their baby’s name the moment she saw her.

Elsewhere, Liesl ranted about how unfair it was that Carly got to share in this moment with the baby and not Nina.

Obrecht insisted she’d love to dig Carly’s skeletons out of the closet and into the light.

That led to Nina admitting there was something Carly was desperately trying to hide, so Liesl wanted to know more.

Nina said it was clear that Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) were trying to keep their relationship a secret.

Liesl wondered why and thought perhaps Nina should find out.

When Carly entered Willow’s room, she was delighted to learn the baby’s name.

Michael and Willow formally introduced Carly to her granddaughter, Amelia Grace Corinthos (Nathan and Owen Ford).

Sonny also got a text from Willow using Michael’s phone, so he showed Nina a picture and the news of their granddaughter’s name.

When Finn crossed paths with Liesl at GH, he offered his condolences.

Obrecht thought that perhaps Finn could do something about Elizabeth, so that left him looking nervous over what she meant.

After Liesl ranted about Scott running to Elizabeth over some crisis, she wondered why Liz needed to see him.

Back at Liz’s house, she summoned Scott for help in a professional capacity and admitted she was in trouble.

Scott pushed her to spit it out, so Elizabeth confessed to committing several crimes.

At Wyndemere, Ava gave Austin updates on Liz helping Nikolas hold Esme captive.

Austin didn’t see why Liz would rat herself out, but Ava suggested Elizabeth’s conscience tended to flare up at inopportune moments.

If Liz went to the cops, then Spoon Island would be swarming with cops – and that meant they could find the body.

Austin insisted they needed a plan, but Ava urged him to just leave since no one would ever know he was there.

Once the doorbell rang, Ava answered it and was surprised to see Laura, who asked what happened with Nikolas last night.

Ava acted like Nikolas left after a confrontation and added that they both said things they couldn’t take back.

Although Ava thought it was just as well that Nikolas was out of her life, Laura didn’t see how that was possible if Ava was helping Spencer blackmail his father.

Laura worried that Spencer’s threat to take away Nik’s child would be the last straw.

All of this left Laura feeling like something horrible would happen – like she would lose her son for good.

Laura feared Nikolas might “throw in with” Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) now, but Ava didn’t think so and hinted about there being nothing left for Nik in Port Charles.

Although Laura was worried since she hadn’t gotten any calls, she decided Nikolas probably just needed some time to lick is wounds.

Laura urged Ava to text her if Nikolas reached out, but Ava said she didn’t think she’d hear from him again.

After sneaking out of Wyndemere while Laura and Ava were talking, Austin headed to the hospital and entered Willow’s room with Michael.

Despite Austin suggesting they should wait for Terry Randolph (Cassandra James), Willow was eager to get her treatment and be there for her children.

Austin had an uneasy expression, so Michael asked if something was wrong.

General Hospital spoilers say Willow will face a difficult blow soon, so stay tuned for more drama.
