General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 15, reveals Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) was late meeting Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) at the Metro Court, where Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) also planned to share a meal.
Gregory’s anger toward Alexis caught Chase and Finn off guard, so he admitted he was taking a break from PCU and said Alexis treated him like he was under investigation.
Alexis lost her appetite when she saw Gregory and admitted to Sam that he’d lied to her.
Once Sam pushed Alexis to make amends and Gregory’s sons did the same, Alexis joined Gregory in the middle of the restaurant.
As Gregory and Alexis tried to talk things out, Gregory lost his balance and nearly fell over.
Since Gregory slurred his words as he tried to downplay his stumbling, Alexis asked if he’d been drinking.
At GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was dressed up for a review board meeting and admitted it could be her last day at the hospital.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) insisted not if she had anything to say about it and offered support following all the police drama.
Liz and Portia commiserated over their secrets and seemed to appreciate having a friend to lean on.
When Finn arrived, he also let Elizabeth know that he wanted to be there for her as a friend.
At Spring Ridge, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) showed up for a planned visit with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl), but they were alarmed to see Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).
Laura insisted Spencer couldn’t be there, but Spencer refused to leave.
When Esme appeared, she fumed over Spencer’s presence and clearly wanted him gone.
Spencer didn’t care what Esme wanted and was determined to look out for his baby brother.
However, Laura urged Spencer to see that he was going about it in the wrong way.
Since Laura needed Esme to trust her, she finally convinced Spencer to go – though he warned Esme that this wasn’t over.
Esme was grateful to Laura for getting rid of Spencer, but she eventually worried Laura was just trying to take Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) away for Spencer and Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).
Laura reassured Esme, but she did urge the new mom to get honest with herself about whether prison was the best place for a baby.
If Esme ultimately landed in Pentonville, that would make Spring Ridge look like a spa!
Laura and Kevin explained that there was another option since they would love to care for Ace until Esme was able to do that herself.
Although Esme seemed to seriously consider the idea, she felt she had to trust her instincts and keep Ace with her at Spring Ridge.
Laura and Kevin respected Esme’s decision, so they parted ways with her on good terms as she walked away with sleeping Ace.
As Laura teared up, she admitted she believed Esme truly loved that baby – and Kevin agreed with her.
At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) spoke to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) over the phone and hid the news that he got shot last night.
Dex disconnected just before Sonny entered and lied about taking a spam call. After Dex thanked Sonny for letting him crash there, Sonny thought it was the least he could do since Dex saved his life.
Sonny wasn’t sure where Spencer went this morning, but he told Dex that he expected the two of them to tolerate each other.
When Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) arrived, she realized some mob drama must be going on and asked how bad it was. Sonny assured Kristina that it was nothing he couldn’t handle.
After Dex stepped out of the room, Kristina had a business proposition for Sonny to consider.
Once Kristina sought seed money to open her own restaurant, Sonny questioned where this was coming from.
Kristina reflected on everyone else mapping out their futures and seemed like she felt pressured to do more with her life.
Although Sonny was willing to offer the money Kristina requested, he pointed out that she loved being the manager at Charlie’s Pub.
Kristina also loved volunteering in the community, but she wouldn’t have time if she was focused on spreadsheets and all the other aspects of opening a restaurant.
Sonny knew Kristina could tackle this challenge, but he asked if she’d be as happy as she was right now.
Kristina admitted she probably wouldn’t since things were pretty great in her life at the moment.
Dex eavesdropped on all this before Kristina thanked Sonny, who assured Kristina that he was proud of her.
Later, Sonny told Dex how much he loved Kristina and thought he was lucky to have her as a daughter, so Dex seemed moved over their relationship.
At Kelly’s, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) delivered some big news to Josslyn, Spencer and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
They were all surprised to learn Cam was leaving Port Charles since he got a Staford athletic scholarship.
Spencer wanted to know the real reason why Cameron was leaving and traced this back to Esme breaking up his friend group.
Josslyn didn’t think Esme was to blame for once and acted like it was something to celebrate instead.
After Josslyn asked why Spencer was tarnishing this moment, Spencer got fed up with everyone defending Esme and stormed out.
Trina wound up taking off as well, so that just left Cam and Joss.
Once Josslyn and Cameron admitted they were going to miss each other, Cam said he changed his mind about being friends with her.
With that in mind, Cameron wanted Josslyn to listen to him as her friend and stay away from Dex.
After Cameron said this wasn’t about throwing shade, he pointed out that Josslyn was sneaking around and wasn’t acting like herself.
Cam also felt it was inevitable that Dex would get hurt and that Joss would end up living a life that she hated.
Josslyn asked if Cameron was done, but he said not even close!
When Spencer returned to Sonny’s penthouse and asked what Dex was doing there, Sonny appeared and said he invited Dex.
Spencer glared as Sonny insisted Dex would be staying with them for a while.
Back at Spring Ridge, Esme was on the hunt for Ace’s binky.
Trina held it out in her hand and asked if Esme was looking for this, so Esme seemed baffled over her surprise visitor.
