General Hospital Recap: Wednesday, October 11 – Spencer’s Fill-In Daddy Duty – Portia’s New Job – Olivia’s BFF Surprise

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 11, reveals that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) planned to have dinner at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place, but he teased her by suggesting it wouldn’t be as fun as what they did in the locker room.

Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) also caught up with Liz later and admitted she heard some gossip about some people hooking up in the locker room shower.

Liz admitted the buzz was true, but she clarified that she only kissed Finn while they were in there.

Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) got some updates on her new patient advocate role and was grateful to Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) for being her mentor ahead of her first day.

Once Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) cornered Stella, she confessed that she turned down the co-chief of staff job, but now she was rethinking it.

Portia was nervous about taking on extra work when Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was still adjusting, but she liked the idea of a higher-level position with better pay.

Stella pushed Portia to go for it and felt that Curtis would agree, so Portia eventually met with Terry in her office.

After Portia revealed that she’d had a change of heart, Terry said she’d tell Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and that Portia could start Monday.

Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) also shared some lovey-dovey moments with Terry and quizzed Liz about how Finn was doing.

Before Yuri left GH, he mentioned that he was starting a new job and had to figure out a way to tell his old boss.

At Portia and Curtis’ place, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) brought Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) to the door as they reflected on their fabulous New York City getaway.

Trina kissed Spencer goodbye and sent him off to reunite with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

Inside the house, Trina gave Curtis some souvenirs and got his assurance that he was happy to see her living her life.

Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) caught up with Trina and privately asked if Curtis really thought Spencer was good enough for her, but Curtis couldn’t tell her what to do or who to see.

Next, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) were looking forward to relaxing after their flight, but they found an overwhelmed Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) at the apartment and pitched in with Ace instead.

Since Ace was teething and had been fussy, Esme had barely slept and had to miss work today.

After Esme hinted about the difficulties she faced on her own, Laura heard the news about Spencer and Trina’s weekend in NYC.

While Esme was in the other room, Spencer found Laura holding Ace and greeted two of his favorite people.

Esme was pleased to see Spencer soon after and helped him sing Ace to sleep for his nap with a funny song.

Although Laura was glad to see Spencer and Esme getting along, Kevin worried about Esme being isolated while Spencer had a social life. That was bound to cause some friction according to Kevin.

While they were all in the living room together, Laura and Kevin told Spencer and Esme about Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) financial withdrawals in Geneva.

There was proof that Nikolas was alive, but he clearly didn’t want to come back to Port Charles.

Once Spencer was alone with Laura, he reflected on Nikolas leaving them just like he thought. Spencer acted like they’d be better off if Nikolas didn’t return, but Laura knew he didn’t mean that.

Laura remained hopeful that Nikolas would eventually realize he was making a mistake. Regardless, Spencer told Laura that he’d missed her and gave her a big hug.

Afterward, Laura called Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and left a message since she was eager to find out more about Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) situation.

At Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) apartment, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) let his son know that he was sorry for withholding the truth about his ALS.

It wasn’t because Gregory thought Chase couldn’t handle it. Gregory just craved Chase’s infectious positivity and savored those moments when things felt normal.

Although Gregory acknowledged that it wasn’t fair to leave Chase in the dark, Chase was fine with it as long as he’d provided some happiness.

Once Finn showed up and apologized for his own secret-keeping, Chase insisted he understood since Gregory explained everything.

There was nothing Chase or Finn could do to stop what was coming for Gregory, but Finn insisted they still had many more good days ahead. Right now, Gregory was thankful to have the support of both his sons.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn put Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) on full blast for blabbing to Chase about Gregory’s ALS and scoffed at her grandmother’s insistence that it was an honest mistake.

There was a knock at the door, so Brook Lynn angrily swung it open and wondered what their unexpected visitor wanted.

Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) was on the doorstep, so Brook Lynn was thrilled to see her mom and happily embraced her.

Tracy definitely wasn’t glad to see Lois and asked about the reason for this hopefully brief visit. Lois explained that she’d read about Deception dumping her “Brookie” and came to check on her since that wasn’t right.

Brook Lynn admitted she deserved to get dumped, but she saved some blame for Tracy since she roped her into a corporate espionage plot. Lois seethed over Tracy’s actions, but Tracy quickly made herself scarce.

In the other room, “Eddie Maine” aka Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) slept on the sofa and dreamed he was performing in the nude.

Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was in the crowd watching along with Lois, so “Eddie” woke up and admitted Olivia was in his recurring dream along with another woman.

Although Olivia urged “Eddie” to confide in Kevin about his dreams and try to bring his memories to the surface, “Eddie” didn’t think a shrink would be able to offer any help.

Once Olivia realized Lois was in the living room, the BFFs shrieked with glee and embraced. Lois wanted to stay at the Metro Court, but Olivia convinced her to stay there at the Quartermaine mansion instead.

“Eddie” heard the commotion and came to see what was going on, which led to him remembering Lois.

Although Lois hoped it was because they used to be married and she was the mother of his child, “Eddie” recalled her from somewhere else and seemed lost in thought.

It was apparently “Eddie’s” dream from earlier that was providing this flash of recognition.

General Hospital spoilers say “Eddie” could develop some deep feelings for Lois if bits and pieces from their shared past bubble up.
