General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) could face a whole new set of challenges once she’s free. Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) is a top-notch lawyer who believes he can get Esme out of her current legal jam, so Esme’s charges may be dropped – or she could at least get off with a very light sentence.
At the moment, GH writers need Esme locked up with Heather Webber (Alley Mills) for drama’s sake.
It makes sense to have Esme unknowingly getting to know her biological mother like this.
However, Esme is quite pregnant and will be giving birth in the not-too-distant future.
Assuming Martin is right about getting Esme out of this mess, we have to start thinking about Esme’s next chapter.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) owns Wyndemere now, so Esme obviously won’t be going back there!
There’ll have to be other living arrangements, but Esme doesn’t have anyone she can rely on when it comes to people on the outside.
That could change if Elizabeth decides to take pity on Esme and help.
The show’s been playing up Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) bond with Liz lately – and Laura definitely supports Esme’s chance to try being a mother.
When Liz was monitoring Esme as a nurse during her time in captivity, she could tell Esme was starting to care about her baby.
Now that Esme has amnesia and has abandoned her bad girl ways – at least for now – she definitely cares about her unborn child and wants to do right by him or her.
Elizabeth might find herself feeling obligated to help Esme on some level.
Since Liz played a role in the hostage chaos, she may think she should make up for that and offer Esme a temporary place to stay.
Following Esme’s prison release, she could move in with Liz and perhaps get a little mom guidance.
Laura might even steer Elizabeth in this direction and hope they can set Esme up for success as a mother.
Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) may end up in prison soon since his exit is brewing.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) intends to go after custody of Esme’s baby, but there’s no guarantee he’ll win.
If Esme does get to bring her newborn home with her, where will home be exactly?
Maybe Liz will open her place up to Esme for a while and leave Cameron Webber (William Lipton) stunned over some new houseguest updates.
That could lead to some friction between Cameron and Elizabeth, but it could also help Cam see Esme in a new light eventually.
