General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) may have to make sense of a new clue. GH fans saw that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) sent Esme a letter at Spring Ridge, which clearly left her unsettled.
Of course, we should point out that Esme’s reaction seemingly proves she’s not faking her amnesia.
Esme freaked over that letter and threw it away from her at first, so she’s mentally not the same diabolical, undaunted girl she was before.
We’ve seen Esme stand up to evil Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) without any problems, so there’s no way she’d be scared of Heather if she still had her memories intact.
However, Esme’s memories could indeed be on the verge of returning.
We can’t ignore the timing of this letter since it arrived right as Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was persuading Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) that they had to let Esme walk free for now.
It seems likely this letter is going to trigger a memory flood somehow – and when it does, it could be a game-changer.
There’s been a lot of talk about how Esme wasn’t “The Hook,” which seems to be true for most of the hook attacks.
Nevertheless, there’s a chance Heather wasn’t the original hook attacker, epecially since Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) hook didn’t have any poison on it.
What if Esme was the original hook who tried to kill Ava?
Maybe Heather simply took over starting with Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) murder since that’s when the venom was introduced.
Perhaps Heather has been covering up that crucial piece of information and hinted at it in her letter somehow.
That might be enough to trigger the memory flood we mentioned or at least cause a few crucial memories to rise to the surface.
It’d raise the stakes if Esme truly was “The Hook” – at least for that first attack on Ava at the Quartermaine picnic.
Esme’s returning memories could give her some huge news to keep under wraps and could make her dangerous once she knows what she’s capable of.
There’s no word on what was in Heather’s letter yet, but it could potentially be something about Ava and how Esme’s secret is safe with her.
Heather might’ve offered just enough of a clue to bring some violent flashes back for Esme.
