General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) just might get her wish. GH fans know Heather was thrilled to find out she was going to be a grandmother. That left Heather eager to be right by Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) side when her grandbaby came into the world.
Heather wants to support Esme through the delivery, but the writers might take that idea a step further.
What if Heather ends up being the one to actually deliver Esme’s baby?
Although Esme will apparently experience some pain at the hospital on the January 16 episode, the writers might hold off on her actually giving birth.
If labor is delayed, that could open the door to a far more dramatic option.
After all, Heather comes and goes as she pleases thanks to a guard who looks the other way at Spring Ridge.
If Heather can escape for hook murder attempts, then she can certainly escape to support Esme when the baby is born.
Of course, Esme doesn’t know Heather is her biological mother, so that’s important to keep in mind.
Depending on how this plays out, Esme might simply think Heather is a kind stranger doing a good deed.
Then again, Esme might learn the news that Heather is her bio mom and not realize she’s an escaped prisoner.
Since Esme has amnesia, she isn’t able to dispute anything and just has to decide whether she trusts what’s being told to her.
Whatever the case, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) believes he can get Esme cleared of the charges she’s facing.
We have no doubt that Martin’s right about that since he’s an excellent attorney and Esme’s freedom is crucial to keep storylines moving along.
Esme may ultimately get off scot-free and be released from the hospital as well.
There could be some situation soon where Esme goes into labor and can’t get back to GH before the baby comes.
Heather could be in the right place at the right time to help Esme bring her baby into the world.
It’d be interesting if Heather finally reunited with her daughter and then delivered her grandson or granddaughter.
That’d bring a shocking story for Heather to tell Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) in the aftermath and make her even more convinced their far-fetched family plans are going to work out.
General Hospital spoilers say Esme may get updates on her bio mom before long, so stay tuned to see if their reunion will bring Heather’s baby rescue.
