General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, January 16, tease that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will warn Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) to be careful when it comes to respecting Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) boundaries.
If Portia tries to keep Trina away from Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), she could do the opposite and push them even closer.
Curtis will think Trina has to live her own life, even if she’s making choices that Portia doesn’t agree with.
Next, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will visit someone with questions.
It looks like Laura may have a little chat with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) and see for herself how this amnesia story holds up.
Over with Spencer, he’ll summon Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) for a meeting and insist that Esme’s baby will never know either of its parents.
Since Spencer told Esme that he was possibly the father of her child, his plan may be to pretend he’s the “baby daddy” and back it up with bogus evidence.
Spencer could try to score custody or perhaps arrange for the child to be raised by someone far away from Port Charles.
It’s clear that Spencer doesn’t trust Esme and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) to give this kid the kind of upbringing he or she needs.
Meanwhile, Nikolas will have some updates for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), so they’ll have another discussion about Esme’s memory loss and all the baby drama.
It looks like Esme might also have a bit of a scare since she yelps from her hospital bed in Monday’s preview video.
There could be some pain that brings concerns about the baby’s well-being.
Elsewhere at GH, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will drop a hint and leave Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) wondering what she has to feel guilty about.
There’s no point in hiding the truth now that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) knows, so Carly should admit she hid the fact that Nina was Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) bio mom.
Sonny will inevitably rage at Carly for keeping such a massive secret, but Nina will be busy trying to get through to Willow in her room.
After Nina blurts out that she’s Willow’s mother, it’ll seem ludicrous – that is until Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) pushes Willow to listen.
Nina will explain the whole story she just learned and work to convince Willow this is the truth.
Between Michael’s insistence and the promise of DNA proof, Willow will accept the mother-daughter shocker – though she’ll warn that it won’t change how she feels about Nina.
Even so, Nina will think what matters is saving Willow’s life, so she’ll head down to the lab ASAP and put a rush on her bloodwork.
Just as soon as Nina hopefully confirms she’s a match, she can donate the bone marrow Willow needs.
