General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) met a grim fate thanks to Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) fatal gunshot on Spoon Island, but perhaps fans haven’t heard the last of him.
Of course, there’s always a chance Ryan is alive in some shocking twist.
It wouldn’t be the first time that Ryan cheated death, so no one can rule out the idea of him making some wild comeback down the road.
Things aren’t always as they seem when it comes to deadly exits in Port Charles, so that’s important to keep in mind!
The writers could make some updates to Ryan’s departure strategy and deliver crucial news about his survival.
However, there are ways of keeping Ryan involved, even if his death was the real deal and ultimately sticks.
A devious character like Ryan may have had some sort of contingency plan.
Ryan might’ve planned for the day he’d potentially be taken out – and if he did, he might’ve left a message that’ll be found sooner or later.
Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) has been suffering from amnesia, so she doesn’t care about her father like she used to.
That could change if Esme’s memories return since she truly loved “Daddy” in her own twisted way.
Esme might feel a profound sense of loss when her memories come flooding back.
Maybe GH writers will soften that blow for Esme by giving her a letter from her deceased bio dad.
Ryan might’ve written down some final wishes or orders before his demise.
Perhaps Ryan’s last message could land in his daughter’s hands somehow and spell out what he expects of Esme in his absence.
No matter how that message resurfaces, Esme could easily read a letter from Ryan and become determined to make him proud.
Esme might once again be controlled by her manipulative father and continue Ryan’s streak of wicked behavior.
Whatever the case, Esme may need some Ryan closure once she’s no longer battling amnesia, so stay tuned to see if he might reach out from beyond the grave at some point.
