General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) could change his mind about seeking full custody of Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) and Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) baby. This storyline could shift in a new direction soon, so let’s talk about that possibility.
For starters, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) warned about the challenges of a sibling taking a child away from his or her biological parents.
Spencer has done jail time, so that’ll work against him as well.
Since Esme should beat most of her own charges, GH spoilers say she’ll be in a position where she can raise this baby.
Nikolas obviously isn’t a factor anymore, so things could start to shift for Spencer.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is rooting for Esme to have a shot at motherhood despite all her mistakes – and we know Spencer’s grandmother’s influence means a lot.
However, Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) influence means most of all. Based on everything Trina’s going through right now, she might end up convincing Spencer to stand down when it comes to keeping Esme away from the baby.
Trina just found out Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) could potentially be her biological father, so she’s facing an identity crisis.
Perhaps Trina will worry that Spencer’s little brother or sister could face a similar experience.
If Spencer tries to erase Esme from the picture entirely, it could leave the kid with questions and set him or her up for bigger problems later.
Trina might warn Spencer to give Esme a chance to be a parent since she’ll be thinking about the chance Curtis was robbed of.
Spencer may not feel comfortable letting Esme raise this child alone, but co-parenting might be something Esme would agree to.
Esme is an overwhelmed mess right now and actually likes Spencer in this amnesiac state, so she might get on board.
After Esme’s baby is born on the run, there could be some scary moments thanks to Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).
There’s certainly the risk of kidnapping, but it should all get sorted out sooner or later.
Esme may get a sweet moment where she holds her little one in her arms and falls in love immediately.
Perhaps Spencer will witness this maternal instinct firsthand and become more willing to relent on letting Esme tackle motherhood.
Although Spencer may never truly trust Esme, they could ultimately come together to do what’s best for this baby.
That could be good news for Esme if she avoids a nasty custody battle.
