General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a battle for Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) soul may be underway. Spencer has a good heart deep down, but he’s also sick of letting that good heart get stomped all over.
Although Spencer claims his custody fight is about protecting his younger sibling, there’s obviously some revenge going on, too.
When Spencer quoted Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) video confession back to him in the chapel on the February 3 episode, it was deliciously sinister!
Now that Nicholas Chavez is getting a chance to play this version of Spencer, it makes us wonder just how far things could go.
Nikolas insisted that although Spencer likes to act like he’s his own man, he’s “every bit a Cassadine.”
There’s some truth to that since Spencer teamed up with former enemy Ava Jerome (Maura West) to score the dirt of the century.
Then, Spencer clearly enjoyed the big reveal of the leverage he had and how he’d obtained it.
Reciting the same confession exactly just felt like such a brilliant Cassadine-like thing to do.
Nikolas basically acted like Spencer is no better than the cutthroat father he’s trying to rise above, so is that true?
With Nikolas’ exit coming up, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) may latch onto Spencer even more as his last hope at preserving their family’s ruthless legacy.
Victor has something huge in the works involving the Ice Princess and some sort of code.
Whatever Victor has in mind is no doubt illegal, immoral and downright dangerous.
Will Victor drag Spencer down into the pit with him and set up more trouble in his relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali)?
Once Nikolas is gone, Victor may make some updates to his goals and focus on manipulating Spencer to the extreme.
At some point, Victor may realize Trina acts as Spencer’s conscience and is perhaps the one thing holding him back from embracing the worst parts of himself.
Spencer’s recent GH chapel scenes almost felt like a wicked turning point since they showed what he’s capable of when he’s been truly wounded.
Victor could really unleash the beast within if he tried to make sure Spencer lost Trina for good.
Regardless, Victor could become Trina and Spencer’s worst obstacle down the road.
Will Victor tear Spencer and Trina apart to push Spencer down the vile path he wants?
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) pointed out that Spencer was on the precipice of a decision he’d regret for the rest of his life.
Now that Spencer is teetering on the edge of good and evil, it’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for him.
General Hospital spoilers say Spencer will grow closer to Trina during February sweeps, but that could lead to unsettling news once the Cassadine curse takes its toll!
