General Hospital Spoilers suggest Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) has endured a bumpy ride for the last few weeks. Whether she’s truly battling amnesia or not remains to be seen, but Esme isn’t keen on her current circumstances and she’s starting to feel quite alone.
With just a few months left before she gives birth and no idea what will become of her child, she could spiral into antepartum depression that leaves her ripe for multiple other mental health issues.
But first, she’ll have to withstand a physical one as premature labor ensues when the stress becomes too much for Esme to bear.

Esme has had a rough start to the new year.
Kicking things off with hypothermia and nearly dying could not possibly be what she planned for herself, could it?
This weak and vulnerable girl we see before us now clashes terribly with the vindictive and manipulative version of Esme we’ve come to know over the last year and a half.
The people of Port Charles will sleep better knowing she’s locked up tight at Spring Ridge, but she won’t.
Esme is overwhelmed with worry about what will become of her baby, the charges against her, and not knowing who the father of her child even is.
Now, her birth mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills), is certain to only add to her concerns.
GH Spoilers Tease Baby Daddy Drama Ensues
As Esme continues to stress over who might be the father of her child, Heather will hope to calm her nerves.
Heather’s maternal instincts are in overdrive as she tries to manipulate Esme’s situation to her own liking.
She wants her daughter to be emotionally reliant upon her.
Codependence is Heather’s longtime M.O. and she knows Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) will be keen on using Esme for his own selfish reasons once he realizes she’s in Spring Ridge, too.
This will push Heather to push Esme harder to let her help her, which gives Esme the creeps!
When Esme finds out Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) isn’t the only potential father to her child and that she also slept with Spencer’s father, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), the stress could be enough to do Esme in and trigger premature labor.

Heather saw that look in Esme’s eyes. She’s a scared young mother who doesn’t want to lose her baby.
Esme is wishing she could just stay pregnant forever so they wouldn’t have to risk being apart.
This will be Heather’s way into Esme’s head and heart as she coaxes her on board with taking off from Spring Ridge with her.
No, Esme isn’t eager to let Heather help her, but if it’s the only way to stick with her baby, she’ll do anything.
Going into labor prematurely wasn’t part of the plan while they were on the run though.
