General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, January 31 Recap – Harmony Welcomes Willow Into the Light – Ava’s Blackmail Proof

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 31, reveals that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) ran into Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) at GH and learned she was there to support Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) at Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) memorial service.

Josslyn filled Trina in on the situation with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and got sympathy over her breakup as well.

After Joss admitted Spencer wasn’t wrong about there being more to the breakup story, she opted to explain everything to Trina later.

Josslyn also seemed concerned over Trina’s newfound trust in Spencer, but Trina believed that he’d changed.

After Josslyn said Britt was a really brave woman, she told Trina to let Spencer know she was sorry.

In the chapel, Ava Jerome (Maura West) hinted to Spencer about a way to increase his odds exponentially in the custody case – without even having to set foot in the courtroom.

After Ava revealed she had leverage, Spencer understood she was talking about blackmailing Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).

Even if it didn’t send Nikolas to jail, Ava assured Spencer that this info would irreparably harm Nik’s reputation.

Ava held up a slip of paper and called it dynamite since it had a web address with a video on it.

Once Ava insisted it would give Spencer power, she warned that it would also make Spencer his father’s sworn enemy.

Spencer was determined to protect his younger sibling and no longer cared what happened to Nikolas.

Although Spencer worried about this blowing up on Ava, she insisted she was an expert at watching her back.

Once Trina interrupted, she grew suspicious of the interaction and was surprised to learn Ava now owned Wyndemere.

Ava took off, so Trina grilled Spencer about what was going on.

Spencer didn’t want any secrets between them, so he explained the website link and how Ava was helping him with the custody case.

This all sounded too shady to Trina, but Spencer stood his ground on being willing to fight dirty.

Trina insisted on watching the video with Spencer and told them they were in this together, so they played it in a discreet corner of the hospital.

Of course, it was the confession video Nikolas once made by Ava’s hospital bedside.

Spencer and Trina heard Nik confess to pushing Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) to her death off the turret in a fit of rage.

Nikolas took full responsibility and only regretted that he didn’t do it sooner, so Trina and Spencer reeled over his admission.

At Spring Ridge, Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) showed up with Nikolas and met Esme, who was hopeful about restoring her memories.

Carolyn said they’d get to the root of the problem to see if anything could be done, but Nikolas pointed out the damage could be permanent.

After Carolyn asked a few questions, she determined that Esme likely had dissociative amnesia and added that it was usually caused by trauma or stress.

Nikolas suggested hypnosis as a strategy to handle this, so Esme was all for it and felt she needed her memories back to raise Nik’s grandchild right.

Carolyn realized Esme was pregnant and removed herself from the situation since it was so unethical, so Nikolas returned to Esme alone.

That led to Nikolas clarifying that he was the father of her baby, not Spencer.

At GH, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) stepped into a private room with Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), who kept asking questions about the genealogy website.

Jordan tried to act like she was just fact-finding for a police case, but Stella didn’t believe her.

When Stella realized Jordan thought someone else out there had a child related to Stella, she got the wrong idea.

Stella worried that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was related to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and about to marry his own kin, but Jordan quickly shut down that idea.

The wheels kept turning for Stella, who eventually realized Trina could be Curtis’ biological daughter and felt he should know the truth. If Jordan wouldn’t tell Curtis, then Stella vowed to do it herself.

Jordan argued that they didn’t know anything for sure, so Stella wanted to get proof.

Nevertheless, Jordan pointed out that the only way would be through a DNA test, but they didn’t have Trina or Curtis’ consent.

Stella refused to officiate the wedding like everything was fine and wouldn’t watch someone who lied to Curtis’ face walk down the aisle – no way, no how!

Next, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) met up with Curtis for his tux fitting since he was set to be Curtis’ best man.

Curtis got updates on Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) being Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter, so he was upset with Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) deception and sabotage.

After Curtis said he hoped Drew didn’t just let that go, Drew assured him that Carly knew he wasn’t OK with her actions.

Curtis thought it was good that Drew and Carly never got together under the circumstances.

If someone kept a life-altering secret from Curtis, he said that there’d be no getting past it.

Meanwhile, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) got Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) suited up in surgical attire so he could be by Willow’s side. After Austin asked to join Michael, they both headed to the operating room.

Willow was already in the OR, where Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) helped prep her for the C-section and answered questions along the way.

Once Michael met up with Willow, the C-section went quickly – and soon enough, their beautiful baby girl was in the world.

Willow and Michael were overjoyed before their daughter was taken to the NICU for a routine exam.

After Willow urged Michael to go with their baby so she wouldn’t be alone, he wound up admiring his little one through the window along with Josslyn.

Back with Willow, she started muttering about Jonah and thought it was the Fourth of July.

Willow lost consciousness as she started hemorrhaging, so her medical team leaped into action.

Since Willow was in V-tach, her heart was shocked before a white light surrounded her.

As Harmony appeared, she insisted Willow wasn’t alone and extended her hands – like she was urging Willow to join in in the afterlife.

Once Carolyn found Liz at the hospital, she said “Lizzie” needed some rest since she looked exhausted.

Elizabeth corrected Carolyn on her name and wondered what she could do for her mother.

However, Carolyn explained that she hoped to do something for Liz instead.

General Hospital spoilers say Carolyn will give Liz some shocking news soon, so stay tuned.
