General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, May 30, tease that plenty of excitement’s on the way, but we’ve got a programming note to pass along. An encore presentation featuring Sonya Eddy’s (Epiphany Johnson) final appearance will air on Monday, May 29, so the show will be taking the day off from new episodes for Memorial Day.
Fortunately, they’ll pick up right where they left off once the action resumes on Tuesday, May 30, so let’s dive in and discuss what’s in store.
First, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will give Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) updates on his decision to move back in with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
Curtis will insist he can either give up or give in, so he’s choosing the latter and trying to make his marriage work.
Portia will give Curtis a warm welcome home, so it’ll feel like they’re making progress – though she’ll remain in the dark on the kiss he shared with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) for now.
While Curtis is getting settled, a phone call will come in about the DNA results being ready.
The moment of truth has almost arrived for Curtis and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), so Portia will plan to support them both no matter what.
At GH, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will share some awkward moments with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but he’ll think they can all agree that Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) recovery is what really matters.
Later, Sonny will speak with Carly privately and perhaps offer another reminder that she can turn him over to the feds if need be.
Sonny doesn’t want Carly to land in prison, so he supports any plan that prevents that from happening – even if it means sacrificing himself.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) just brought that Sonny possibility up to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) at the Metro Court, but it looks like she’ll continue plant seeds with a goal in mind.
GH spoilers say Nina will give Olivia some crucial information, so she may act like she heard Carly might turn on Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) as part of her legal defense.
Nina’s hoping Drew will eventually believe Carly’s going to betray him and decide to turn on her first, but this plan could be a tough one to pull off.
Nevertheless, Drew will hang out with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) on Tuesday’s episode, so he’ll be reminded of how much he has to lose.
Drew already missed out on years with Scout and certainly doesn’t want to be ripped away from her again.
That’ll weigh on Drew’s heart and leave Sam with questions, but he’ll feel like she’ll be better off if doesn’t know much of anything.
During Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Hennesy) meeting with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), she’ll seek help figuring out details on the insider tip. Sonny isn’t so sure there was a snitch at all and worries the justice department really pulled the strings on this.
That said, Sonny isn’t letting Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) off the hook yet either and has pushed Diane to talk to Robert.
Diane will hint about the confirmation that they need and hope for Robert’s help figuring out the source of the SEC trouble.
Robert may also want to talk about where they stand now that Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) is out of the picture, so we’ll see if he can get on the same page with Diane romantically.
Back at the hospital, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will catch up with Trina and hint about another option, so this might tie in with her plan to free Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) for a mob-less future.
Over the phone, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will insist it’s funny how your life can change in an instant.
As Spencer reflects on some big moments in his life lately, he’ll have to prepare for even more.
Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) will reading is about to kick off, so Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will host this ominous event and await some surprises.
General Hospital spoilers say Charles Shaughnessy will appear as part of this will reading, so it sounds like he’ll share some news in a video message.
