General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, August 23, reveal that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) will warn Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) that he wants out. The show just revealed that Cyrus is Austin and Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss, but Austin will deliver the flash drive and insist he’s more than paid off his debt.
Of course, getting out of Cyrus’ clutches won’t be that simple, so Cyrus will no doubt make it clear that the good doctor will have to keep doing what he’s told.
By the Metro Court pool, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will have a meeting with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and mention that the conflict of interest is gone.
Jordan will listen as Anna unloads some of her concerns about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and will offer to help with the investigation in any way she can.
At Ferncliff, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) will sound the alarm when she sees Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) in such bad shape.
It’ll lead to Gladys flipping out and demanding answers from Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) since he’s been drugging Sasha like crazy.
Gladys will push Dr. Montague to stop tormenting Sasha, but he’ll only be willing to stop if he receives a hefty payment.
It’ll leave Gladys in quite a bind when Dr. Montague blackmails her, so it’ll be interesting to see how she handles it.
Over with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), he’ll give Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) some much-needed support.
Trina may once open up about Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) struggles and how helpless she feels, but Spencer will continue to provide comfort and guidance.
Meanwhile, inspiration will strike for Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), who’s been looking for something to fill her time.
Mac Scorpio (John J. York) suggested Felicia should help out at GH instead of the PCPD, but we’ll see what path she ends up pursuing for this next chapter.
Back at Pentonville, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will deliver a message to someone.
It looks like Dex may meet with “Book” (Brad Schmidt) and warn him to back off Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) unless he wants to feel Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) full wrath.
Speaking of Sonny, he’ll meet with Ava Jerome (Maura West) and grill her about how she’s dealing with things on her end.
Sonny is doing his part to make sure Ava doesn’t land in prison or face any more threats, but he’ll feel like she needs to be doing her fair share as well.
Finally, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will remain uneasy about Drew playing rescue ranger for Cyrus since that could put him in even more danger.
Cyrus has some serious enemies behind bars, so Carly will want Drew to be extra careful now that the other inmates are going to view him as Cyrus’ ally.
