General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, February 1 Recap – Nik’s Legal Document Trick – Willow Chooses Family Over Afterlife

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 1, reveals that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) found Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) at GH and admitted he heard Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was her daughter.

After Curtis told Nina he’d be there for her at Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) memorial, he reflected on Nina’s journey to find her child.

After some talk about Curtis having a child of his own one day, he made sure Nina and Sonny would be at his wedding.

Meanwhile, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) didn’t know how she was supposed to stay silent when Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) might be Curtis’ daughter.

Portia interrupted Stella’s conversation with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), so Stella let herself be dragged off the to the bridal boutique.

Stella tried on her dress for the ceremony and was offered a bracelet to wear that had been in Portia’s family for years.

Portia realized Stella wasn’t acing as supportive about the nuptials anymore, but she kept playing up how they were family and left Stella torn.

When Stella thought back to lying to Curtis and his brother about their father being dead, she honestly wasn’t sure whether she’d make the same choice if she had a do-over.

Stella accepted the bracelet in the end, so Portia gushed over how everything would be perfect for her wedding.

When Jordan crossed paths with Curtis, she admitted she wanted to be at Britt’s memorial, even if it that meant facing Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) wrath.

Jordan understood since she’d feel the same way if she lost a child – and Curtis said he would, too.

That left Jordan uncomfortable, but she covered with Curtis and insisted she really did wish him happiness.

Next, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) was thrilled over Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) confessing to what he thought was Esme’s murder.

This was good news for the custody case as far as Spencer was concerned.

However, Trina defended Nikolas a bit since it didn’t sound premeditated.

Threatening to send Nikolas to jail was extreme – not to mention Trina wondered why Nik would even make this video and what Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) motivation was.

Spencer didn’t care about getting caught in the middle since he was doing this for his sibling’s sake.

Since the judge or police would want answers if this video came to light, Spencer felt certain Nikolas would bow out of the custody feud.

Trina thought Spencer could just cut out the middleman and take the confession to the cops if that was his endgame.

Since Spencer didn’t want to do that, Trina suspected this was his way of not completely shutting the door on Nikolas.

Trina thought Spencer knew that if he used this confession, he would lose his father forever.

When Jordan found Trina in the chapel with Spencer, Trina hinted about Spencer having something to discuss with her.

That left Jordan confused as Spencer contemplated the video that was still pulled up on his phone.

At Spring Ridge, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was overwhelmed over her boyfriend’s father also being her baby’s father.

Nikolas assured Esme that she could trust him and explained how they made a connection when they were in a vulnerable place.

After Nikolas handed over a document for Esme to sign, he said he’d make sure her baby was waiting until she was free once more.

Esme hesitated to sign anything without letting a lawyer look over it first, but Nikolas claimed it was just a formality.

Nevertheless, Nikolas ultimately agreed to leave the paper with her and come back tomorrow for it.

Once Esme was alone, she wondered to her baby if they should really trust Nikolas.

Esme struggled as she questioned why she didn’t want to sign Nikolas’ document.

At GH, Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) told Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that she was flying back to California and would stay out of her life for as long as she wanted.

Carolyn didn’t want anything to do with the case Nikolas roped her into, so Liz heard about the Nik’s plan to make Esme’s amnesia permanent.

After Carolyn revealed that she shut Nikolas down, she warned Liz that Nik wasn’t her friend and didn’t have her best interests at heart.

Carolyn hoped to earn Liz’s forgiveness one day, so she teared up when Liz thanked her for telling her everything.

After Carolyn called her Elizabeth instead of “Lizzie,” Elizabeth thanked her for that as well.

Carolyn admitted she was still learning and took off. Soon after, Nikolas arrived at the hospital and locked eyes with Liz.

Outside the NICU, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) admired the baby along with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) eventually led Michael in so that he could hold his daughter for the first time, so there were some cute moments.

Back with Carly, she got a phone call from Sonny and learned the doctors were looking for Michael.

Once Michael was brought in the loop, he urged Josslyn and Carly to stay with the baby while he went to see what was going on.

Carly and Josslyn met their newest family member with Bobbie standing next to them.

That left Carly gushing over four generations of Spencer women being in the same room.

While Willow was hemorrhaging in the OR, her soul lifted out of her body and joined Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel).

Harmony said Mama was there, but Willow argued that Harmony wasn’t her mother and that she lied to her.

Once Harmony countered that it wasn’t all a lie, she insisted Willow was still her “Kali” and urged her to come into the light with her.

Harmony acted like Nina only cared about Nina and felt that Willow could now have the peace they’d always been searching for.

Willow eventually took Harmony’s hand as Harmony urged her to take the next steps toward the perfect peaceful place.

After Michael met up with Sonny and Nina, he got updates on some complications in the OR. Nina prayed for Willow to live before Michael called out to Willow herself.

If Willow could hear him, Michael wanted her to know that her family needed her and that they were waiting to take her home.

Willow indeed heard Michael’s voice guiding her home, so she returned to her body after all.

Soon after, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) told Sonny, Nina and Michael that it was touch and go for a while, but Willow came through just great and was in the ICU.

Nina thanked Austin, but he thought it was obvious Willow didn’t want to leave them just yet.

Willow was on a ventilator as Michael sat by her bedside and urged her to wake up.

As Wednesday’s episode wrapped up, Michael was eager for Willow to help him name their baby girl.

General Hospital spoilers say Willow and Michael’s daughter will indeed get a name soon, so stay tuned.
