General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, February 8, tease that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will reject Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) praise and insist she’s not as perfect as Laura thinks. Although Liz may not elaborate, she’ll battle more guilt as she considers confessing to the cops.
Meanwhile, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will pay Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) a visit and seek some hypothetical legal advice.
Finn may offer a vague, anonymous explanation regarding Liz’s role in Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) hostage situation and hope there’s a way to keep her out of trouble.
At some point, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will catch up with Alexis as well. Alexis will insist that maybe Gregory is “just over it,” so this should somehow tie in with her efforts to give him an official job at The Invader.
Since Gregory will be reluctant to get on board, Alexis may keep pushing until she gets to the bottom of why.
GH fans know Alexis can be awfully persistent when she wants to be, so she’ll try to convince Gregory to come around.
At the hospital, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will vent to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) about Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) deception and her own desire for payback.
After Nina hints about something Carly’s trying to hide, she may confess that she thinks it involves Carly’s relationship with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Liesl might do some snooping on Nina’s behalf since she’s about to get more involved in this storyline.
Drew and Carly could go down for insider trading, so the stakes are high!
In the meantime, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will wake up and demand to see her baby immediately.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will assure Willow that their daughter’s perfect, but Willow should get a chance to hold her and see for herself soon.
Next, Carly will talk to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and hope that this nightmare will finally be over following the cord transplant.
Unfortunately, some bad news is brewing regarding Willow’s prognosis, so it could leave her desperate for a bone marrow donor after all.
That may be where Liesl comes in since she’s set to offer help that only she can provide during February sweeps.
For now, Sonny will feel like an outsider at the hospital. Despite Sonny’s desire to be there for Michael and his family, he’ll still be pushed aside.
Next, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will face a shocker, so he might find Ava Jerome (Maura West) in the stables looking guilty.
Ava will ask someone how they got in there, so Scott may be the one who sniffs around and asks questions.
Will Scott find out Ava accidentally killed Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) after he threatened to take Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) away?
Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) agreed to help Ava with a cover-up, but Scott might become privy to their plan.
Then again, it could be Laura who arrives looking for updates on Nikolas.
General Hospital spoilers say Ava will offer Laura reassurance, so she’ll speak with Laura eventually and act like Nikolas must be fine.
Ava may lie about Nikolas leaving town for a while – just to throw Laura off the trail.
It’ll be a temporary solution to a long-term problem, but Austin will continue to help Ava during this messy crisis.
