In tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, Jo was still angry at Link. She had just found out her child could be suffering hearing loss. She wanted to wait for further testing before she accepted the diagnosis and so she didn’t want to hear Link put a positive spin on the situation. She wanted time to not talk about it or think about it.

She told Link that and he still tried to do his usual Link thing of seeing the brighter side. Link was learning ASL. He even was teaching Scout to do it as well. He completely ignored what Jo said and now she’s mad at him for a new reason. And this whole thing couldn’t have come at the worst time because Link finally realized he’s in love with her.

Link had planned on telling her he’s in love with her. Only the situation with her daughter came along. Link realized now wouldn’t be the best time to declare his feelings and so he tried to show Jo he cares in other ways. He tried to be as supportive as he’s always been. He tried to show that it didn’t matter what the tests said because Luna was always going to have a full life. Link had cancer as a kid. He used to stay positive as a way of ensuring his parents didn’t have to worry about him and now he works to try and see the bright side because that’s his love language.

Jo couldn’t see that right now because she was so scared that she wanted to be angry at someone. She couldn’t get angry at Luna’s doctors. She couldn’t get angry at Luna what with loving her so much. Link was her safe space and she could be angry at him. Even though she knows he’s just trying his best. Jo wasn’t really upset with him. She just didn’t want to consider anything until further tests were done. Its why she was giving Link the silent treatment and why she was busying herself in delivering babies.

Jo gave up her surgical status because delivering babies is her happy place. She went back to that happy place. Schmitt came to see her and he made her laugh. He did the same thing as Link by seeing the positive. She didn’t get mad at him. She was feeling better after talking to him and she quickly got lost in her work. Amelia meanwhile tried to hide from hers. Amelia was feeling depressed. She was sad that everyone she loves has moved away. Meredith, Maggie, and now Kai. And so she was going through some abandonment issues right now.

Amelia has never dealt well with abandonment. She feels likes everyone she loves was leaving her. Her son was staying with his father while she suffered her freefall. She was going to stay home and mope when Mika came knocking on her door. Mika said they needed her for a neurological surgery. Amelia told Mika to page the doctor on call. Not her. But Mika said Owen and Winston wanted her and not the other doctor. Amelia then reluctantly returns to the hospital. She finds out her patient was someone who was shot because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

The bullets were left in him because of the dangerous position they were in. Only Russell began experiencing lead poisoning. The bullets had to be removed and their location meant a neurosurgeon had to be called in. Amelia was that neurosurgeon. She was grumpy the whole day. She didn’t even want to catch up with Addison when she saw Addison back at the hospital. She snapped at everyone. She got really nasty with Winston by calling him weak and blaming him for his wife leaving him.

Everyone was able to breathe a little better once she left the OR. Winston took over. He guided Simone through the surgery and he was proving to be a better teacher than Maggie ever was. Maggie went into research because that’s where she belongs. She left the teaching hospital because she knows that not where her passion resides and now the interns were learning more in the cardio department. Amelia also tried to take Mika’s head off for dropping an instrument in the OR. She was yelling at her when Addison intervened. Addison was worried that she had relapsed. She had to ask Amelia if she was on drugs.

Amelia swears she’s not. She said she was clean and Addison saw it was just an attitude problem that she needed to work on. Addison told her not to let her issues become everyone else’s problem. Not when the interns were there to learn, Winston was there to perform surgery, and even Bailey was going through some stuff right now. Amelia never once asked Addison why she was back in town. It turns out she came back because Bailey was still getting threatening messages in spite changing her phone number. And there was one guy who showed up at the hospital to threaten Bailey’s kids.

Kwan had to take him down until security arrived. So, there was so much happening that Amelia was missing because she was throwing a pity party, but she came back to help with the “great call back”. Everyone at the hospital was calling back the people that harassed Bailey. They were telling them what else was happening at the clinic because again it wasn’t all abortion care. They were telling them that Bailey is a great person. And no, it wasn’t great to threaten her or her family when they’re supposed to be pro-life.

And Hellmouth yelled at Teddy because she said Mika was going through so much pressure. She was heavily in debt and she was just trying to afford something to eat and so Helm told Teddy not to let Mika burn out like she did.

THE END!
