In tonight’s NCIS Hawaii episode, Tennant was found at the scene of a homicide. It hadn’t looked good for her when HPD came calling. They saw her standing over the body and they assumed she killed the guy on the floor. Only she didn’t kill Oliver Price. She didn’t even know Price. Price somehow got an old passport of hers and he contacted her after he had been shot.

He could have been asking for help. He could have given his killer’s name. Tennant was claiming not to know either way with her people. NCIS were called after she identified herself to the local cops. They took over the investigation. They asked Tennant if this was connected to her CIA days and all she would say was that it was classified.

Tennant hadn’t talked to her people. She didn’t explain anything to them. Which led them to coming up with wild conspiracy theories. Ernie had to remind the others that there was still a dead body and it was up to them to find the killer. Price was a disgraced former operative of MI6. He left under a cloud.

He’s been taking any and every mercenary contract he could until one led to his death. His killer was efficient as well as smart. They wore infrared glasses that stopped the security cameras from getting a true image of their face.

Tennant also found a piece of paper with numbers on it by Price’s body. She asked Ernie to quietly look into it. He determined that the papers were a routing number for a Venezuelan bank account. Tennant couldn’t explain the connection or anything else about how this ties in with Price’s murder.

She instead made sure her kids were staying at their dad’s so that she could make mysterious phone calls. She also contacted Maggie. She said that her alias from the Cyprus mission had been found. And she wanted to know if Maggie sold her information to people like Maggie’s son.

Maggie denied doing so. She said they were family. She loved Tennant’s children as if they were her own. If it hadn’t been her only son involved, Maggie would never have betrayed her country.

Maggie hasn’t talked to anyone other than Tennant herself about what happened in Cyprus. Tennant got that confirmation from her and she left her to be returned to her cell. Tennant went back to Hawaii. This time she ran into Supervisory Special Agent John Swift in her office. He came over to investigate her connection to Price’s death.

Swift also has to bench Tennant while the investigation is pending. Tennant was fine with that. She said she would take vacation time and the truth was she never stopped working this case. Tennant flew down to Venezuela with Kate. She was assisting the FBI with that bank account number. The bank account was in her name only someone used a fake passport to steal over two hundred grand from it. The fake looked too good. Tennant tracked down the man that made her own fake passport and she beat him up until she got him talking.

The guy was approached by a woman claiming to be Jane Padilla. Tennant’s alias. This fake Jane had come with Price. Price paid for the fake passport. Price and this woman were involved in whatever happened in Cyprus. The bank account they cleared out was a slush fund used by the CIA. It was last used in a Syria mission that went sideways. The CIA was hoping to take down known terrorist Ahmed Hamid. They got secret information from one of Hamid’s relatives on where to find him. A team of operatives went in and only one came out – Charlie 1.

It had been an ambush. The cousin set them up for failure. Tennant and Maggie were supposed to take out the cousin in order to cover up their tracks. Only someone came looking for Tennant because of what happened all those years ago. Tennant handcuffed Kate to a poll in their hotel. She then went on to pursue this woman that had stolen her alias. Tennant was fighting while Charle-1 was revealing to Kai of all people that he shot Pryce. He said Pryce was a threat to them. He had to take him out.

Charlie-1 went to Venezuela once he was told Tennant was there. He arrived just in time to save her from the fake Jane. He also was the only one that got the full story from her. She hadn’t been able to shoot Creel all those years ago, but Maggie blew up his car. They thought Creel was dead from the car bomb and all along he’s been behind the push to find them.

Creel revealed himself when he killed Charlie-1.

THE END!
