Tonight’s The Bachelor episode begins in Krabi, Thailand and its fantasy suites week. Zach says love is in the air and it is probably the most important time of the whole process. The last there women are Gabi, Ariel and Kaity.
Kaity has already told Zach that she is falling in love with him, Gabi plans on telling him on their last date.
Jesse asks Zach if he is scared that the rug can get pulled out from underneath him like Rachel did to him on the Bachelorette. Zach says he knew in his overnight with Rachel that something was off and he plans going with his gut this time around. And, he plans on having no sex during fantasy suites. Speaking to Sean helped him a lot, he took a similar approach. Zach says it is going to be tough, but he is going to pull it off. He wants his partner to be sure in them, that he doesn’t have sex with another woman before an engagement.
Zach’s first date is with Ariel and they are having their date late in the evening because the market they are going to only opens late evening. They start by eating some bugs, they do it at the same time to quell the anxiety. The taste is actually amazing. Some of it is spicy and Zach says that the chemistry is hotter, he is so in the moment with her.
Later, the two get dressed up and sit down to dinner, she tells him that he matches her energy in a lot of ways. He feels the same way, he says he feels like they are in their little world together. She admits that at hometowns she was holding back, and she accidentally told her mom that she was falling for him.
He tells her that at the end of this there is only one person for him to love and he can see so much the potential for it to be her. He gives her the fantasy suite card and he tells her that he does not want to have sex. She is a little disappointed, she feels like they have always had physical chemistry, and this will be tough. Also, she doesn’t like to predetermine what their date is going to look like. Every time he is with her, there is his pull and he has no idea how he is going to keep his promise to himself about not having sex.
In the morning, Ariel feels like his is the first time that she actually feels like she could get engaged to Zach. He has so much clarity and says it was an amazing night. He came into the date not wanting to have sex, it was hard, but he did it and he is happy that they spent their time having important conversations.
It is time for Zach’s date with Gabi, they meet on the beach and he welcomes her to Thailand. They go on a pirate ship that takes them to their own private island. He tells her that he misses her, it has been a long time since home town does. She admits that she has had anxiety, in previous relationships she was always chosen second. And with fantasy suite, she feels the same. She gets so emotional, so much in her head that she walks away, she needs a minute.
Zach gives her time and then goes to see her. She is crying, she says she feels second because she was cheated on, thats not him, but its just the process. He tells her that she is special, he doesn’t look at the final three as numbers. He admits that he gets insecure and gets in his head sometimes too.
It is time for Zach and Gabi to have dinner, she plans on telling him thats she is falling in love with him. She thanks him for making her feel like she was chosen first. She says she was cheated on, she choose to look the other way and didn’t value herself. But he shows her all the characteristics that she is looking for and that he has her best interest at heart. He tells her that he had the worst self-confidence issue.
She tells him that she is falling in love with him, then he gives her the card for the fantasy suite. He tells her that typically this is the date where it is sex week, and he thinks it can cause more issues and more problems. What feels right to him is to approach the week in not having sex in the fantasy suite. It is not conventional but he thinks it is the healthiest way to go. She wasn’t expecting that, it didn’t give her relief. She promises not to seduce him and thanks him for sharing that. Gabs is not convinced though that they are not going to have sex.
The next morning the two are feeling great, she is very confident about where they are in their relationship. Zach says something really special happened with them in the fantasy suite and now he feels like he is holding a secret.
Zach meets with Jesse and tells him it was an unreal day and night with Gabi, seeing a life with her is not that hard. But, he said he was taking sex off the table, it changed, with Gabi and their overnight. They both agreed and wanted to have sex together, it was special, it was important and what they both needs for the relationship.
He feels terrible because he went against his word. He feels a guilt about the whole thing now because he said one thing and did another. He did not want to make this messy, but he has zero regret with what happened with Gabs and he thinks everyone needs to be aware of what happened because honesty is the best way to go about this. He still had a fantasy suite with Kaity and she needs to know. Its important for him to be honest.
It is time for Kaity’s date with Zach, she is really excited. First, he goes to see Gabi, he tells her that she made him feel so special and he doesn’t want to have secrets, he wants to be fully transparent with everyone woman involved. She feels blindsided, her trust broken, because she felt like it was between them and now it is between them and everyone else.
He doesn’t like to start with secrets, this was on his mind and bothering him, but he wants her to know how special their night was. He tells her that he is falling in love with her and he doesn’t want anything to get in the way and he can see a future with her, she would be someone awesome to spend the rest of his life with.
Zach meets with Kaity for their date, they are going to explore the forests of Thailand. They get on glass bottom boat and row through the water to explore. He knows he has to have a conversation with her, it won’t be easy, but he believes she can handle it. He tells her that he went into the week not wanting to make sex and intimacy a focus, he told the other women, but that changed.
He has been intimate, it was a decision between he and the other woman to advance their relationship. He tried to set the parameters, but he had a really tough time and wanted to tell her. He wants to know what her feelings are about this. She says her heart is racing, she knew going into this that that could have happened, it sucks to think about it. She didn’t need to hear it, she is not happy and she is not going to pretend she is happy. She says it is weird that he told her, she is crushed. She is not ok with this.
Katy feels weird, distant from him. She was so excited to have the day together and she feels like it is a little ruined. She says it is like rubbing salt in the wounds, she thought it might happen, but she didn’t need to hear about it. She wanted to be happy with him, but there is no way to sugar coat how terrible this is. Katy literally just wants to go home at this point.
Later, she shows up to meet him and tells him that she wanted to strengthen their relationship during this date and she feels like the opposite happened. He says he had to tell her the truth because there is a proposal next week and he didn’t want any secrets between them. She tells him that this just a bump in the road, all relationships are not rainbows and unicorns. She is cautious, but she will spend the night with him the fantasy suite. Zach doesn’t know where things will go from here but he he is happy that Kaity didn’t decide to leave.
The three women arrive for the Rose Ceremony. Gabi is not sure she wants the rose, she feels like her trust was broken. He tells the women he made mistakes by setting parameters for the week and he is sorry. The first rose goes to Kaity. The second rose goes to Gabi, and she accepts. Ariel’s heart is broken, she has to say her goodbyes.
