The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 6, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) insisted he couldn’t forgive this and told Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) that their marriage was over – just like she always knew it would be if she chose to betray him with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
After Liam once again declared that he wanted a divorce, Hope acted like he didn’t mean that.
Liam argued that he’d be haunted by what happened between Hope and Thomas – that he’d worry about it every time they were alone together.
Hope thought they could get past this since she’d forgiven Liam for so much more, but he insisted on staying at Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) place and said they’d co-parent Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza).
Although Liam loved Hope more than anything, he said Hope chose the one thing that she knew he couldn’t survive. Liam knew Hope wouldn’t stop working with Thomas and that she’d find new ways to keep him in their lives if he stuck around.
Hope reminded Liam that Thomas was Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) father, but Liam argued that Thomas was more than that since Hope had feelings for him and was attracted to him.
Liam complained about Hope accusing him of being jealous, controlling and unsupportive when he knew all along that what he was seeing was real.
If Hope had betrayed Liam with anyone else, he said they would’ve found their way back together. Since Hope chose Thomas, Liam just couldn’t get past that.
Hope realized Liam was closing the door and saying there was no way forward for them.
As Hope cried, she asked if Liam had seen Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) since all this happened.
Liam’s silence gave Hope the confirmation she needed, so she looked irritated and said maybe it wasn’t just her that was the problem.
Although Liam kept mentioning Thomas, Hope pointed out that Steffy had always had a seat at the table in their relationship.
“Let me guess…you want her back now?” Hope asked before telling Liam that was pretty predictable.
Liam said he hadn’t had a single thought about Steffy, but he was thinking about her now.
After all the pain and suffering Thomas had caused them, Liam suggested something had to be broken inside Hope for her to want him.
Hope said maybe Liam was right before he told her goodbye and walked out.
At the cliff house, Thomas assured Steffy that the kiss just happened and that the last thing he wanted was for Hope’s marriage to be ruined.
Steffy insisted Hope was to blame for the kiss, but Thomas didn’t think this was Steffy’s business and pushed her not to upset Hope’s marriage or upend her life.
That left Steffy wondering if Thomas was OK with everyone painting him as the villain just to protect Hope.
Regardless, Steffy said the secret was out since Liam saw Hope kissing Thomas in front of the Colosseum during his surprise trip.
Once Steffy added that she ran into Liam afterward, she admitted she’d never seen him so heartbroken and disillusioned.
Steffy flashed back to Liam kissing her in Rome before Thomas said he felt like he should talk to Liam.
However, Steffy argued that Liam knew Hope initiated the kiss – and she wasn’t sure he’d be able to forgive Hope for that.
Thomas acknowledged that he’d caused so much pain in Hope’s life and didn’t want to be the cause of more.
Rome should’ve been a highlight of Hope’s life, but now it was going to be a dark cloud that could lead to the end of her marriage.
At Forrester Creations, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) met up with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) as they all worried about Hope’s future with Liam.
Ridge tried to stay optimistic, but Brooke and RJ considered the possibility that Hope’s marriage wouldn’t survive.
The fact that Hope would risk everything for one moment with Thomas left Brooke baffled and concerned about how her past influenced her daughter’s behavior.
Brooke recalled how Hope lashed out and said she didn’t want to be anything like her.
Now Brooke thought that happened because Hope was dealing with feelings for the wrong man – and those feelings may have cost Hope her relationship with Liam.
At Spencer Publications on Thursday’s B&B episode, Liam recalled moments when Hope defended Thomas and chose to keep him around.
There was also a flashback of Liam finding Hope and Thomas in that compromising position on the design office sofa.
Liam remembered Hope kissing Thomas in Rome and heard his own words about wanting a divorce echo in his ears.
At Thomas’ place, he opened the door to an upset Hope, who rushed inside and said Liam saw them in Italy.
Thomas admitted Steffy gave him updates on the news and asked what Liam said about what happened between them.
Hope pointed out that she tried to explain, but Liam didn’t want to hear it and didn’t see a way forward for their relationship.
After Hope admitted Liam pushed for a divorce, she ran toward Thomas and accepted his warm embrace.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas and Hope seem to be on the verge of a big turning point, so stay tuned.
