The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 16, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) made John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) promise to keep this a secret and mentioned walking in on a rather intimate moment between Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Although Steffy acknowledged they were fully clothed at the office, she insisted that Hope’s behavior with Thomas was completely inappropriate. Steffy explained how she caught Hope caressing Thomas’ hands and gazing into his eyes with desire.
Finn was skeptical and thought all this sounded pretty tame, especially since Hope claimed she didn’t have feelings for Thomas when she was confronted.
Even so, Steffy worried Hope’s ego was bruised now that Thomas wasn’t obsessed with her.
Although Steffy admitted she didn’t really believe Hope was like Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), she still planned to keep an eye on Hope and vowed not to let her ruin everything.
On the Forrester jet, Hope put her jacket back on and thanked Thomas for the massage. Thomas suggested Hope should let him know if her neck seized up again and acted nonchalant about the whole situation.
Hope, on the other hand, seemed nervous as she dropped her water bottle and struggled to keep her act together.
As the flight wrapped up, Thomas assured Hope that she wasn’t like her mother and would be with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) for the rest of her life.
When Hope returned home, she found that Liam had set the mood for love with candles, wine and more.
Hope greeted Liam and gushed over how impressed the buyers had been in San Francisco, so Liam was glad over the good news.
As a formality, Liam felt he had to ask if Thomas tried anything, but Hope confirmed that he didn’t and assured Liam that her lead designer had been nothing but professional.
Although Hope initially suggested the trip couldn’t have gone better, she ultimately pointed out it would’ve been better if Liam had been there.
After Hope said she really missed Liam and offered a kiss, she added that she didn’t want him to forget how much she loved and appreciated him.
Liam guessed the most stressful part of the trip was what happened after the meeting, so Hope seemed anxious and confused.
However, Liam just meant the plane’s mechanical issues since Hope was forced to wait for her flight back to Los Angeles.
Liam was happy Hope didn’t have to spend the night in San Francisco with Thomas and confessed that he’d talked to Steffy about her brother.
That left Hope fearful as she quizzed Liam about Steffy’s comments, but he said Steffy just told him that Thomas wasn’t a threat to his marriage.
After Hope flashed back to Steffy lashing out over her feelings for Thomas, she flashed to nearly kissing Thomas in San Francisco.
Hope quickly turned her attention back to Liam and made sure that he knew how much she loved him. As Hope got emotional, she said didn’t ever want Liam to doubt that.
Liam insisted he wouldn’t, but Hope planted a kiss and got him to promise. Hope snuggled up against Liam looking nervous about the secret Thomas feelings she was harboring.
At Forrester Creations on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Thomas returned to find Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) in the CEO office, where he said he heard about the drama after the San Francisco meeting.
Thomas seemed uneasy until Carter explained that he was talking about the plane problems and flight delay.
Carter acknowledged that Hope was probably eager to get back to Liam and mentioned her devotion to him.
As Carter prepared to leave for dinner with Katie Logan (Heather Tom), he told Thomas that he did some nice work today.
Carter pointed out that Thomas and Hope once again proved they make a great team.
Once Thomas was alone, he flashed back to telling Hope she was the most principled person he’d ever met and that nothing would come between Hope and Liam.
After Thomas remembered sharing some close moments with Hope, he seemed deep in thought and a bit puzzled.
