The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 9, reveals that Brooke Logan (Annika Noelle) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) were stunned to learn Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had taken the kids to live at the Forrester mansion.
Hope wondered what this meant for Steffy’s marriage to John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and was shocked over the news that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) saved Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) from drowning.
After Brooke and Hope got updates on Finn embracing Sheila in the video, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) assured Steffy that she did the right thing by putting the kids first.
Although Steffy knew she was indeed protecting her children, she was still devastated along with Finn and acknowledged that her love for him hadn’t changed.
Ridge said there could be no contact with Sheila and hinted about making sure Finn knew that.
Once Ridge left, Hope pointed out that Liam must be so worried after everything that went down.
Steffy admitted Liam was extremely protective, but she clarified that her decision to leave Finn had nothing to do with her ex-husband.
Even so, Hope said Steffy had to know that if things were really over with Finn, Liam would be waiting in the wings.
Later, Hope spoke to Brooke alone about how in the past, she would’ve been concerned about Liam’s reaction to Steffy’s marriage issues.
Now that Hope was done with all that drama, she was relieved.
Brooke thought it sounded like Hope didn’t care that her marriage was coming to an end, but Hope just couldn’t live in regret and wanted to focus on things like her fashion line.
When Brooke brought up the possibility of Liam wanting to be with Steffy, Hope said it wouldn’t be that easy since Finn wouldn’t give up his marriage without a fight.
At Spencer Publications on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Finn snapped that Steffy wasn’t Liam’s family, but Liam disagreed with that.
When Finn said Liam had no idea how much he loved Steffy, Liam said he actually knew a lot about loving her.
After Finn ranted about Liam’s ego, he said he didn’t believe for one second that Liam’s actions were about safety.
Now that Liam’s marriage to Hope was imploding, Finn felt that Liam was doing what he always did and running back to Steffy.
Liam reminded Finn that he was the one who put his arms around a psychopath and pushed him to admit he’d be alarmed if the roles were reversed.
Finn kept blaming Liam for pursuing Steffy, but Liam felt that Finn needed to admit that he messed up.
After the way Finn put Steffy, Kelly and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks) in danger, Liam asked why he’d let Finn do that again.
Finn felt that Liam was forgetting that Steffy loved him, but Liam argued that she loved her children more than anything and wouldn’t put them at risk.
Liam ranted about Finn refusing to ditch his “sick connection” to Sheila, but Finn reiterated that Liam needed to stay away from Steffy.
Once Liam said he wasn’t walking away, Finn accused him of being toxic and using this whole situation to his advantage.
Finn added that Liam wouldn’t have a future with Steffy, but Liam said Finn never saw the relationship that he had with her – an extraordinary life together that he gave up.
Finn insisted Steffy was better for it and refused to allow Liam to take Steffy away from him.
Since Finn had been waiting his whole life for Steffy, he warned Liam to put any thought of a future with her out of his mind.
Once Finn made it to his office at the hospital, he was frustrated over Steffy not texting him back.
Ridge ultimately showed up to point out how Finn had let him down when it came to protecting Steffy and keeping her happy.
Finn said he’d add it to the list of problems he was already dealing with, so Ridge didn’t appreciate the attitude.
Since Finn let Sheila back in his life and put Kelly in danger, Ridge demanded to know what was going on with him.
After Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) took the kids out for ice cream, Liam showed up at the Forrester mansion and spoke to Steffy alone about Finn’s visit.
That led to Liam admitting he said something that Steffy should probably know about.
Liam said he told Finn that he loved Steffy and gazed at her with adoration.
After Liam suggested you don’t forget a love like they shared, he bet Steffy hadn’t forgotten either.
Liam felt they were part of each other and didn’t think that would never change. Once Liam took Steffy’s hand, he acknowledged that he was a fool to let her go.
If Liam ever got a chance at a do-over, he insisted he wouldn’t repeat that mistake. In fact, Liam didn’t think he’d ever let Steffy go again.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy will have some tough emotions to deal with in the coming episodes, so stay tuned.
