The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is headed down a terrible road now that the trust in his marriage is completely shattered. Despite Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) efforts to undo the damage, Liam can’t forgive a mistake of this magnitude.
If Hope had been caught kissing literally anyone else, Liam might’ve been able to get past it.
The fact that it was Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) – Liam’s self-proclaimed nemesis – really sealed Hope’s fate regarding their split.
Of course, we have to consider what life will look like for Liam in the months ahead. Liam will still have to co-parent with Hope, but he won’t want anything to do with her other than that.
Things may be awkward with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) too since Liam kissed her in Rome and again at the cliff house.
Since Steffy’s about to establish some boundaries, she may keep Liam at a safe distance from now on.
Liam can lean on Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) for support, but he could just as easily isolate himself and wallow in his misery.
This could become a situation where Liam uses some unhealthy coping strategies like way too much booze.
If Liam has an alcoholism storyline in the works, then the show may have already started laying the groundwork.
At Il Giardino recently, Liam ordered multiple glasses of bourbon. It was played up as a way to soothe Liam’s nerves about Hope being alone with Thomas in Italy.
Liam was also drowning his sorrows after the flight home from Rome, so this could be the beginning of a bad habit.
Even if Liam doesn’t become a full-fledged alcoholic, copious amounts of booze could still be involved as he tries to get over the loss of his once happy marriage.
B&B might be setting the stage for Liam to make a drunken mistake, especially if he gets behind the wheel!
Regardless, Liam is hurt, angry and just not feeling like himself right now. Throw in a ton of alcohol and it could lead to some disasters for a very broken character.
