The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers for Wednesday, August 23, reveal that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will realize he has to grant Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) her freedom. The old Thomas probably would’ve begged Hope to be with him or tried to manipulate her into staying in a romance.
However, Thomas will want to prove he’s not the man he used to be by letting Hope go.
Although Thomas will remain frustrated over Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) getting inside Hope’s head and stirring up old concerns, he’ll understand if Hope can’t get over his mistakes.
That’s why Thomas will be willing to step aside and give Hope the space she needs to do what she needs to do.
If that means reuniting with Liam and putting her family back together, Thomas won’t want to stand in Hope’s way.
Thomas will make it clear that he loves Hope enough to put her happiness first.
Since Thomas’ own bliss is taking a backseat, he’ll make a powerful speech and accept Hope’s decision if she feels she needs to walk away.
Thomas could fight for Hope if he wanted to be selfish, but he’ll sacrifice his chance at a future with her and basically give her a push back in Liam’s direction instead.
Sadly, that means Thomas’ heart will break when he has to watch Hope leave.
There’ll be some emotional moments as Thomas sees his dream woman head out the door, but he’ll know he did the right thing by bowing out.
At the Forrester mansion, B&B spoilers say Liam will make a confession that rocks Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), so this will no doubt involve his true feelings somehow.
It doesn’t seem like it’d surprise Steffy if Liam confessed he was thinking of getting back together with Hope. In fact, Steffy’s already been fishing for info and is seemingly trying to get Liam to admit that news.
Of course, it might shock Steffy if Liam confessed he’d rather reunite with her instead!
Liam might admit his love for Steffy is what’s really hindering him from a Hope reunion at this point.
Whatever the case, it looks like Steffy will urge Liam to focus on his marriage and try to fix what’s broken.
Steffy also wants to do that with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), even if she doesn’t know how right now.
