The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Tuesday, May 16, teases that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) will try to shake off her Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) feelings as she returns home, but she’s destined to fail.
No matter how much Hope wishes she could just switch off how she feels about Thomas, she constantly finds herself turned on by him these days.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will remain oblivious as he takes some advice from Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) on Tuesday’s B&B episode.
After Bill pushes Liam to dote on Hope and make sure he doesn’t take his marriage for granted, Liam will pull out all the stops for a romantic evening with his wife.
Hope will get a homecoming shock when she sees all the effort Liam put into making their night together special.
Although Hope will appreciate it, she’ll also face guilt over her close moments with Thomas in San Francisco.
Liam will be glad nothing happened, but something sort of did!
After all, Liam certainly wouldn’t approve if he knew Hope almost kissed Thomas – nor would he like the idea of Thomas giving Hope a massage on the flight back to Los Angeles.
Hope will keep secrets from Liam, who may sense that she’s uneasy and question if Thomas tried anything on their trip.
Of course, Hope will insist Liam has nothing to worry about as she keeps trying to sell this lie that she’s content in her marriage.
Next, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will find out what Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) witnessed between Hope and Thomas at Forrester Creations.
After Steffy shares how Hope was holding Thomas’ hands and gazing into his eyes, she’ll express her fear that Hope will throw Thomas’ recovery off track.
Finn may act like Steffy’s overreacting, especially once he hears Hope’s explanation for what went down.
Even so, Steffy will feel like Thomas could get fixated again if Hope leads him on or steps out of bounds in some way.
Elsewhere, Thomas will give Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) updates on the plane’s mechanical issues, which delayed their return from that business trip in San Francisco.
Taylor will be relieved over the news that everything worked out, but Thomas may admit he’s worried about Hope and her insecurities.
Hope sometimes believes she’s living in Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) shadow and feels judged by her mother’s past, which Thomas will find totally unfair.
Since Thomas doesn’t think Hope is anything like Brooke when it comes to sleeping around and causing problems, he’ll wish Hope could understand that.
Taylor may defend Brooke as a changed woman, but Thomas will mostly focus on Hope and what she’s up against regarding Brooke’s reputation.
