Tonight on FOX their new medical drama The Resident airs with an all-new Tuesday, January 3, 2023, episode and we have your The Resident recap below. In tonight’s The Resident season 6 episode 11, “All In” as per the FOX synopsis, “The ER quickly fills up after a heavy storm causes a devastating helicopter crash. Conrad, Devon, and the rest of the Chastain doctors rush to treat patients including the helicopter pilot, a barista, and Chastian’s least favorite person, Governor Mark Betz.
Then, Conrad has pulled away from celebrating Gigi’s 6th birthday when Sammie comes into Chastian with a 104-degree fever, and Kit must call in a favor for treatment. Meanwhile, a heart arrives for Governor Betz’s transplant surgery.”

Tonight’s The Resident episode begins with Padma standing on the ledge of a bridge, looking like she is going to jump. Her cell phone is right, it is Leela. Padma doesn’t answer, but Leela begs her to reach out. Padma then goes to see Leela, she tells her that her children deserve better than her and that she can’t be their mother. Devon is there and watches as the two hugs.
Conrad is at home, Cade drops by and tells him that she wasn’t at a vineyard this weekend, she was visiting her dad at an addiction program on the weekend. He asked her to tell nobody. Conrad is happy for her and her dad. She says she didn’t want to lie to him, she was protecting her father.
Conrad tells her that he hasn’t been honest with himself or her about his feelings for Billie, he kissed her. Cade grabs her things and as she is walking out, she tells him that he should have been honest. He says he tried to make things work with them, he is sorry, he tried. Cade leaves.
In Emergency, Dr. Leonard Perry comes in, he is having a heart attack, and he requests to have James attend him, and AJ joins. Dr. Perry diagnoses himself and both James and AJ are impressed. James wants to take a moment to figure out the best course of action.
Irving tells Devon that the trauma center is closing, and they all have to meet with Kit later.
A woman comes into emergency, she has head trauma and only asks for her purse. Devon asks Conrad to assist with this case. The patient is Lillian, she tried to take on the guy who grabbed her purse. She is disoriented, it could be dementia. And she has a broken leg and a brain bleed.
Conrad bumps into Cade at the hospital, she tells him that Kit wants her to move out all the ICU patients that she can, to budget issues.
Conrad tells Billie that he has no idea how they got where they are, but he is so happy they are there. She says her too.
Dr. Perry is in surgery, and there are complications but he said he was all in and AJ plans on doing everything he can to save him.
Bille goes to see Cade and tells her to get whatever she is feeling off her chest. Cade laughs and tells her that she has been in love with him this whole time, everyone noticed them dancing at Kit’s wedding. Cade says she will survive, she deserves someone who loves her. Bille says she is sorry, Cade says don’t be, it is pointless. Cade finishes with she and Conrad never said they loved each other.
Dr. Perry made it through surgery, but then he goes into distress and has to go back in.
Leela goes to see Padma who is in a pschychiatric ward. Padma tells her thet they think she is crazy.
Lillian is out of surgery, she is doing well and is very talkative.
Padma goes to speak to AJ, and she tells him about Leela, he is sad, he didn’t know it was this bad. But now, he is worried, whether will she be ok to care for their children.
Billie goes outside to chat with James, he is worried, Dr. Perry isn’t doing well and it is out of their hands now. She tells him that he is an amazing guy and if there was no Conrad, he says it’s ok, he understands and it was fun while it lasted, however brief, his heart is intact. He gets a message, he has to go see Dr. Perry.
AJ is in Dr. Perry’s room when James walks in. Dr. Perry is entering the dying process. Other doctors are there, James sits on the bed and holds his hand. James wants to try to open him at the bedside and Dr. Perry says no, he can’t handle that. Dr. Perry is gone. AJ puts his hand on James’ shoulder to comfort him.
Cade tells James that she is so sorry. James tells her they joined the same club today, she says yeah. She tells him that they can grab a drink if he doesn’t want to be alone, and he says ok.
Liliane’s purse was retrieved from a dumpster, and Conrad surprises her with it. Lillian says she is old, but she fought like a tiger.
Conrad and Billie end up in the elevator together and smile.
Kit goes into the ER and tells everyone that Chastain Trauma will not be closing. She decided that they will not let a bully destroy them, they are going to use every dime to give excellent care until there is nothing left.
