In tonight’s #TheVoice episode, everything was brought to a very fortunate conclusion on tonight’s season finale of “The Voice”.

The contestants have given this show their all over the past few months and now one of them has been named the winner. Just the one. The others will try to use this platform to kickstart their careers, but no one will hear from them again and funnily enough the same goes for the winner after this season.

The only one that truly gets to brag about winning are the coaches. They make jackets. They call themselves the reigning champion. And no one thinks it’s weird that they can remember Niall winning last season only they couldn’t remember who he won with.

But that’s a debate for another day. Back to the artists. They performed twice yesterday. They were given more opportunities to perform tonight. Including a rare chance of performing with previous contestants from earlier this season. They all got to perform during this huge opening number tonight.

It was of a now award nominated song from the “Barbie” soundtrack. They all wore pink. The year of Barbie was far from over. They definitely had fun with this one. Some of them need to learn how to dance and luckily they now have the free time to do so.

The second number of the night went to the coaches. John played “Let It Snow” on the piano with the other three harmonizing. It was very festive and the night continued on with good cheer. Another thing special about tonight was that the contestants got to perform with their coaches. Niall was up first. He had his duet with Huntley first. They played an acoustic version of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”. It was beautifully soft. There was a gentleness to it. Huntley has been showing a softer side to his tone lately and its working out great for him.

Dan + Shay were next. They were going to be judges/coaches next season. They were the first duo act to take over and they’ll be filling in for Niall. Niall was going to be busy on tour next season. Great new for his fans! Its also wonderful for Dan + Shay’s fans because now they were going to be another coach that specializes in Country music. They had the Queen of course. Reba was returning next season only they had to subtract Gwen. Gwen was taking time off. She’ll be replaced by Chance the Rapper. And John was going to be returning for his chair as well.

Reba was up next. She has two artists in the Finale. She performed with Jacquie Roar first. Jacquie was so happy to be performing with her that she admitted she feels like she’s sixteen again. She knew Ruby was actually sixteen but she herself fell into giggles around Reba. They performed “No One Else on Earth”. It was a great song for Country music. Did Reba shine a little bit brighter than Jacquie? Yes, she did. She’s Reba. She’s known as the Queen of Country for a reason and her voice was so unique that anyone can instantly recognize it even during a duet.

Reba was fun though. She was handing out tater tots during the commercial break and so the audience was siding with her before they knew it. There was another guest performance. This time from Keith Urban. He performed “Blue Ain’t Your Color”. The crowd loved it. He was followed up by Teddy Swims who performed “Lose Control”. His performance was wild because he was surrounded by a literal ring of fire. The fact he was also wearing a three piece suit and was most likely hot as hell was legendary.

Next up was Niall. He was back with his second artist and Mara Justine confessed she looked forward to the Finale just so that she could perform with him. She even knew what song she wanted to do. She wanted to perform “Wasted Time”. It was her mom’s favorite song. It was also the favorite of Niall’s parents. He knew the song well. They gave a beautiful duet together. They played off of each other’s energy well. There will probably be fanfics written about it. And rumors that these two should totally date to go with the fanfics.

AJR was next. They were another guest performance. They performed two songs. They first performed “Yes I’m a Mess” before going into their more well-known hit “Bang!”. All in all, it was pretty fun to watch. It all felt very interactive. They gave a stellar concert and the crowd was practically singing along to “Bang!”. They were followed by Lila Forde. Lila was the only one left on John’s team. She’s consistently impressed everyone with her renditions of classic music. And so for her duet with John, John gave her another classic.

Just not one that was of benefit to her.

John chose “Sleigh Bells” for their duet together. He sounded great. Lila however sometimes sounded a little lost in such a festive song and so this why people should let her choose her own music. She sounds great in her own field or picked by fans who understand her eclectic style. “Sleigh Bells” was better suited for John than it was for his artist. They were followed by Tyla. She performed her hit “Truth or Dare”. She had the best concert of the night. There were backup dancers, rainfalls, and props with gorgeous guys she was ignoring. It was so Tyla!

Ruby Leigh was the last of tonight’s contestants. She was Reba’s second artist and third duet of the night. They performed “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”. It was festive but they put their Country spin on it and that made it into their own. There was also less overlapping. Ruby got her moments. Reba reigned over her own. It was a very nice duet. Ruby is a talented young woman. She should still pursue music after this because such talent shouldn’t go to waste. And the final performance of the night went to the legendary Earth, Wind, and Fire.

They performed “Boogie Wonderland” first. They transitioned that into “Let’s Groove” and wrapped it up with “September”. Which would have been funny if they had actually performed in September. And so there goes a missed moment.

Then came the results! First one out was Lila and with her was John’s chance at winning. The finalist in fourth place is Jacquie Roar. The third place went to Mara. It came down to Huntley and Ruby.

But the winner of Season 24 of “the Voice” was Huntley!

Congratulations to Huntley!

THE END!
