Tonight’s The Voice episode begins with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper black in their coaching chairs.

On Team Niall Laura Littleton and Ross Clayton will battle each when they perform “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” They both love the song and feel it matches them so well. Both talk about the journey, getting to the Battles and how excited them are. Niall loves the grit that Ross brings. He thinks they are both strong and it is going to be a tough decision.

Coaches Comments: Chance: “Great stuff, that was awesome but I have to be honest, I don’t know that song at all. Its a great song though and think you both did it justice. The performance was great, you have good chemistry, I got to see more of your personality Laura.” Kelly: “Ross, you really have this voice that cuts through. in this raw and rock n’ roll kind of way. Laura, you have this intoxicating bravado, sweet but pointed. You both have incredible ranges. Ross, I think your voice stood out.” Blake: “Laure you are such a free spirit and lost in the moment, I love watching you perform. Ross is this sonic guy that delivers a rock solid vocal, I would go with Ross on this one. Niall: “Two singers singing a great song, I shot myself in the foot. I have to make a gut choice in the moment. The winner of this battle is Ross.”

Battle Winner: Ross

Team Chance’s Magnus and Alyssa Lazar will battle next. Chance really admires the two of them, attacking the song differently. They will perform “Your Song,” by Elton John. Chance tells them they are both different and advises they stay in their own texture.

Coaches Comments: Chance: “Alyssa I feel like you voice and style is meant for this song, each time you performed it, it got better. Magnus, you smashed it. It terms of performance, you hyped me up. The winner of this battle is Magnus.” Kelly: “Great job guys, you have completely different tones but it worked beautifully. You are more piercing Alyssa and Magnus you have a more full bodied voice. I would lean a little more towards Magnus.” Blake: “Magnus your voice sounds like a warm, cozy, home. I agree with everything Kelly said. Alyssa I do feel like your vabrado is more slow of the two.” Niall: “There is a real story teller vibe to the voice, so with a big bold song it obviously leans towards Magnus, but I lean towards Alyssa’s singer-songwriter tone and character.

Battle winner: Magnus

Team Blake’s Kylee Dayne and Mary Kate Connor will battle and it is bittersweet because they connected right from the start. They want this battle to shine to show they are both worthy to be in this competition. They are performing, “Anti-Hero,’ by Taylor Swift.

Coaches Comments:

Chance: “it seems like you both grew up together, you meshed so well, you should record a cover together. I would go with Kylee.”

Kelly: “I think Kylee your voice is something that singers get jealous of. Mary Kate you have this possession that is breathtakigly beautiful.”

Niall: “Holy Moly that was great, it is not easy to come out and sing a current song thats huge. You made it completely your own. I would lean towards Mary Kate.”

Blake: “I was dreading this, you guys have grown so close and I am proud to have a paring like you on my last season. You both have singer/song writer written on your bio. Your both vocally capable of so many things. You both gave 150% of what you do, my heart is cracker, but the winner is Kylee.”

Battle winner: Kylee

Blake hits the Playoff Pass. Mary Kate gets to go right to the playoffs and bypass the next round.

THE END!
