The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, December 8, reveals that Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) will be skeptical when Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) acts like revenge isn’t on his mind anymore.
Tucker will claim he wants to do something productive and generate positivity, but Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will overhear and suggest she’ll believe that when she sees it.
Once Mamie takes off, Ashley will question what Tucker’s really up to, so he’ll seem frustrated over her not believing his good intentions.
Tucker will want to move forward with Ashley’s offer to sell him her half of Glacade, the European fragrance company they planned to use as the foundation of their new empire.
However, Ashley will act like she’s changed her mind since she now sees the potential of the company.
That’ll irritate Tucker since he’ll feel like Ashley can’t let him have this one win, but she’ll insist she’s not that petty. When Ashley refuses to sell her 50 percent, Tucker will vow to fight her for it.
Upstairs in Tucker’s suite, he’ll speak with someone named Teresa. Tucker will mention the purchase agreement that was drafted and will push his apparent attorney to go over it carefully.
After Tucker says he wants a way to kick Ashley to the curb, Teresa will warn that it won’t be easy. Tucker will vow to find someone else to do the job if Teresa can’t since he wants to be the sole proprietor of Glacade.
At the Abbott mansion, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will speak with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) about the plan to get conniving and strike back at Tucker.
Jill will be pleased over the Abbotts’ willingness to get down in the mud and will feel like they have to hit Tucker with something that he can’t recover from.
There’ll be some talk about Glacade since Tucker is funneling money into it and presumably planning to use it to attack Jabot. Jack will want to render Glacade worthless and offer a reminder that Tucker flew too close to the sun.
Billy will mention that they already have a weapon to fight back, so he’ll give Jill updates on the cover-up involving underage girls.
The French board of directors and any business partners at Glacade will want nothing to do with Tucker if they hear about that.
Jill will think that’s perfect and will be ready to leak the news, but Jack will think they need to speak with Ashley before they do anything that would undermine Glacade since she still owns half.
In the meantime, Jill will share an offscreen plan to distract Tucker. Although there’ll be doubts about whether Jill can put her true feelings aside and make this seem sincere, Jill will insist she’s got this.
When Ashley appears, she’ll agree with Jack about Tucker planning to use Glacade against Jabot. Ashley will mention that she offered to sell Tucker her half of the company and then backed out of the deal – just to push him and see how badly he wanted it.
After Ashley admits Tucker indeed wants it badly, she’ll reiterate that he intends to use it as a wrecking ball against Jabot. Jack will want Ashley to sell her half to Tucker, so Billy and Diane will pipe up about the plan they’ve formed with Jill.
Ashley will seem uneasy about Jill’s involvement, but Jack will contend that they’re all working together to take Tucker down once and for all.
At Crimson Lights, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will spot Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and quiz her about the buzz she’s heard. Phyllis will ask about Christine possibly leaving her role as DA, but Christine won’t think it’s any of her business.
Since Phyllis got the vibe that Christine and Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) have been growing closer, she’ll have questions about that, too.
Christine will act like it’s something worth pursuing, but she still won’t think Phyllis has a right to know anything going on in her life. As far as Christine’s concerned, Phyllis’ interest will be coming from a place of jealousy.
Once Phyllis heads to the jazz lounge, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will join her there for a drink.
Phyllis will tear up since both Christine and Diane have been able to move past their mistakes and find love. It’ll be hard for lonely Phyllis since she won’t understand why she can’t have that as well.
Michael will give Phyllis a pep talk and suggest she can’t compare her journey to anyone else’s. After Michael urges Phyllis to latch onto something good, she’ll agree to focus on beautifying her life and making something positive out of it.
At Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) apartment, Danny will bring in some grocery bags and admit he needs the use of Daniel’s kitchen.
Danny will actually need the whole apartment for his imminent dinner with Christine, so Daniel will find out his dad’s making his famous sauce for her. That’ll bring a grilling session about when Danny and Christine reached this level since it’ll seem like a date.
Danny will admit that he kissed Christine and will seem excited about where things are headed, so Daniel will clear out once Christine arrives.
Next on Friday’s Y&R episode, Danny will share a lovely dinner with Christine, so they’ll discuss how the sauce is the same but better. It’ll seem like Christine and Danny actually mean their own relationship.
After Danny puts on some music and asks Christine to dance, they’ll sway together before sharing some kisses.
