The Young and the Restless Recap: Friday, March 24 – Elena Spies Victoria’s Play for Nate – Abby Unveils Surprise

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, March 24, teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will all pose for a group photo on the red carpet.

After Sharon talks about accepting Adam’s last-minute invitation, she’ll be eager to have some Champagne.

Sharon will catch herself and decide that’s insensitive to Sally, but Sally will insist giving up alcohol for a few more months will be worth it.

Once Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) take their turn on the red carpet, they’ll hear Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton) causing a commotion nearby.

Leanna will walk over and admit she was stunned to hear Diane was alive and will question if Diane is a thing with Jack now.

Since Leanna is a celebrity journalist and a known blabbermouth, Diane won’t want her leaking the engagement news early.

Jack will put Diane’s ring in his pocket for now as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) lurks nearby.

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be all dressed up for the gala, but Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will come down looking casual.

Although Chelsea will initially act like she’s having a fashion crisis, she’ll end up admitting she’s dealing with anxiety.

Chelsea won’t know if she can be Billy’s date after all, but she’ll gather her courage and decide to move past her insecurities since she’s ready for this.

Back at the athletic club, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will call Sally out for trying to camouflage her baby bump with her clutch.

After Victoria suggests Sally is actually drawing more attention, she’ll assure Sally that she doesn’t have to hide the fact that she’s expecting.

Nick will agree since he’ll doubt that anyone will figure it out – and if they do, Nick won’t think they’re going to care.

There’ll be more awkwardness once Adam and Sharon walk over, but Adam will crack a joke about using the red-carpet photo as a Christmas card.

Over with Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd), she’ll cross paths with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) for some tense moments.

Jill will suggest letting bygones be bygones, but Mamie won’t think she can do that and will saunter off.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will wear a mask and sneak in a GCAC suite, where he’ll pull some supplies out of his backpack.

Jeremy will also text Phyllis about ending all this for good tonight.

Down at the gala, Phyllis will encounter Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

After Phyllis gets choked up over how proud she is of Daniel, she’ll tell Lily that he’s a good man who’ll achieve anything he goes for.

Once Phyllis walks away, Daniel will apologize to Lily for his mom’s erratic behavior.

Although Daniel will consider worrying about Phyllis, he’ll think maybe that’s what she wants.

Afterward, Phyllis will corner Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and once again get emotional.

No matter what happens, Phyllis will want Summer to know that she’s so proud of her and the woman she’s become.

Summer will get an awkward hug before Phyllis rushes off, so she’ll talk to Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) about her mom acting weirder than usual.

Traci will admit that Phyllis’ comments seemed rather desperate and strange.

Next on Friday’s Y&R episode, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will make speeches ahead of a big surprise.

Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will join the presentation and unveil the Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) Jazz Lounge.

After Abby talks about it being a room created in Neil’s memory, she’ll suggest it’s a place for visitors and citizens alike to enjoy the music Neil loved so much.

Once Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) thanks Victor and Nikki for the gesture, he’ll pose for a photo with them as well as Abby.

Lily will ultimately join in posing for the picture and will offer her gratitude to the Newmans.

Victor will point out that Neil would’ve moved heaven and earth to get Devon and Lily to resolve their conflict.

That’ll lead to Devon cornering Jill and asking if Victor had something to do with her IPO change of heart.

Mamie will catch up with Lily along with Nate, who’ll admit they need to get together and give her updates on a few things.

Although Nate will hope that the lounge dedication can help repair some family damage, Lily will insist it’s not his business and urge him to stay out of it.

Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will witness Lily shutting Nate down, so she’ll ask how many rejections he has to face before he accepts it’s a lost cause.

Neil will suggest you should never say never before Victoria interrupts and drags him away from Audra.

Over with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), she’ll get sick of listening to Leanna and will want to let her have it. Before Ashley can spark a confrontation, Mamie will appear for another heartfelt Abbott reunion.

However, Ashley will still wind up clashing with Leanna, who didn’t get an invitation to this party according to Victor.

Of course, Leanna won’t think she needs one despite all the backlash she’s facing.

Jill will mention that Leanna is trashing up the place as usual, so Leanna will decide this isn’t a very forgiving town.

After Jill warns Victor about Devon’s suspicions, Victor will suggest Devon was moved by the gesture for Neil.

Jill will assume all this is part of Victor’s grand plan.

Back with Lily, she’ll tell Devon that they’re so close and will plead with him to fix things between them.

At the bar, Victoria will share a toast with Nate and will acknowledge how much he wants to ease the family tension.

Once Victoria puts her hand on top of Nate’s, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will walk in and spy the close moment.

After Audra waltzes over, she’ll tell Elena that Victoria doesn’t seem to be wasting any time.

Upstairs again, Phyllis will knock on the door of Jeremy’s GCAC suite and urge him to open up.

Jeremy will remind Phyllis that they need to be discreet and will hope she’s not having second thoughts.

Phyllis will confirm that she’s still in, so Jeremy will insist it’s time to get Diane up there and set the final stage.

Down at the party again, Jack and Diane will decide to delay their engagement announcement due to the Neil lounge unveiling.

After Jack says they’ll know when the moment is right, he’ll gush about their perfect love story and how Diane is going to be his wife.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack and Diane are about to face some major curveballs, so stay tuned.
