The Young and the Restless Recap: Monday, May 15 – Kyle Goes Rogue with Diane Reveal – Nick Declares Love for Sally

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, May 15, teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will bump into Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) at the athletic club, so she’ll admit she’s staying there following her Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) breakup.

When Elena asks how long Nick’s known about Nate and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), he’ll hope she understands why he doesn’t want to answer questions.

However, Nick will trash Nate for his betrayal and suggest that ice cream would help.

Since the GCAC won’t have a good ice cream selection, Nick and Elena will end up having a drink together instead.

After Nick opens up about how happy he is with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) despite the complications, he’ll realize it’s probably the wrong thing to say when Elena’s brokenhearted.

Fortunately, Elena will be glad to hear it and will feel like Nick should be celebrating the fact that he’s in love.

At Crimson Lights, Sally will meet with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and turn down his job offer.

When Adam assumes Nick influenced this decision, Sally will make it clear that she’s capable of making decisions herself.

After Sally pushes Adam to respect her choice, he’ll make a comment that Sally finds inappropriate.

“What don’t I respect about you, Sally?” Adam will ask in a tender tone.

Sally will feel like it’s dangerous for Adam to blurt things out like that when she’s with Nick now.

After Sally hints about needing distance, Adam will wonder how long this banishment will last.

Sally will promise to give Adam baby updates, but she’ll want him to focus on letting her go.

After Sally suggests there’s another woman out there who’ll love Adam with her whole heart, she’ll feel like he’ll agree with all this in time.

Once Sally returns to her suite at the GCAC, she’ll find a romantic dinner setup before Nick appears.

Nick will mention something that he hasn’t said yet, so Sally will wonder what he’s done.

After Nick admits he’s fallen completely in love with Sally, she’ll ask why he’s telling her now.

Nick will mention having a conversation with someone about all the complications, but he’ll assure Sally that he’s crazy about her and promise nothing will keep them apart.

At Newman Enterprises, Nate will give Victoria the news that Elena moved out, so he’ll talk about the smashed picture and the keys she left.

Victoria will be curious what this means for them, so Nate will confess that he doesn’t want to fix things with Elena.

Once Nate and Victoria talk about their intense connection, she’ll suggest he can take time to mourn his relationship.

Nate will know avoiding Victoria will only make things worse since he finds her so irresistible.

Victoria will reiterate that there’s no rush, but she’ll also reassure Nate about his future and everything they can achieve together.

After Nate decides to get back to work, he’ll cross paths with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) by the elevator.

Victoria will call out to Nate as he goes, but Audra will simply exchange a look with Nate before he heads back to his office.

At the Abbott house, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will reiterate that no one can know Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive just yet – including Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier).

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will object just before Diane appears and questions what’s going on.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will suggest they’re just brainstorming, but Diane won’t see why Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) would want to be part of her defense strategy session.

After Diane says her heart breaks for Daniel every day, she’ll hope he can see that she’s innocent in time.

Daniel will blurt out that Diane isn’t going to prison, so Diane will wonder why he seems strangely certain.

Once Michael and Jack try to help him cover, Daniel will admit he believes Diane’s innocent and will put the blame on Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

Diane will be overwhelmed with gratitude and will have hope that the jury can see that the evidence is manufactured, too.

After Diane leaves the room on Monday’s Y&R episode, Michael and the others will get their Phyllis conversation back on track.

Daniel will warn that he doesn’t want Phyllis to do jail time, so he’ll be counting on a way to clear both Diane and his mom.

Michael will act like the main thing right now is finding Phyllis, bringing her back to town and putting her under surveillance whether she likes it or not. Only then can the secret come out!

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will think Phyllis should be arrested for her own security and for their safety.

Once Jack says Phyllis needs to testify or sign a sworn statement, Kyle will point out that Summer would go out there and try to find her mom herself if she knew.

Daniel will think that’s why they have to leave Summer in the dark, but Kyle will struggle to keep this secret knowing that he could take his wife’s pain away.

After everyone else leaves, Kyle will warn Jack that he’s going to tell Summer the truth, but Jack will push him to wait – at least until he meets with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell).

While Jack’s waiting for Christine at Society, he’ll get a “remember this day” notification that shows a pic of himself with Phyllis at Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Camryn Grimes) wedding.

When Victor comes along, he’ll chuckle over Jack looking like he’s seen a ghost!

Back with Kyle, he’ll battle guilt as Diane wishes there was something she could do to make all this go away.

Kyle will eventually admit he can do something instead and will reveal there’s something that Diane needs to know.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane is on the verge of learning a whopper of a secret, so stay tuned.
