The Young and the Restless Recap: Monday, September 11 – Sally Snaps Over Nick’s Harsh Baby Remark – Nate Refuses Nikki's Demand

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, September 11, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will assume Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is there to gloat as he lets his father inside his home. Victor will insist he’s not there for that – nor will he be there to apologize for cutting Adam loose.

However, Victor will indeed want to check on Adam since he still cares about his son.

Adam will admit he’s learned some humility and wants a chance to reset, but Victor will want details on how he plans to achieve that.

After Adam talks about his willingness to start from the bottom and work his way up, he’ll insist it’s different this time.

Victor will seem skeptical, but he’ll hope that Adam’s intentions are sincere and will vow to be in touch.

At Society, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will push Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to trust his instincts and come work with her at Kirsten Incorporated instead of returning to Newman Enterprises as Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) co-CEO.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will seem uneasy as Sharon talks about how well she works with Nick and the great things they could achieve together.

Nick will worry since he doesn’t trust Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but he could be the one to watch over him if he’s at Newman.

If Nick walks away, all hell could break loose.

On the other hand, Nick will like the idea of building something new and worthwhile with Sharon, so he’ll need time to mull this over.

Sally will pipe up in support of that delay before Sharon decides she should let Nick and Sally talk in private.

Once Sally is alone with Nick, she’ll insist she understands his history with Sharon and will support whatever he decides.

The conversation will shift to Adam as Sally admits she feels sorry for him despite Nick telling her not to.

Sally will mention how much Adam has lost, including Ava Spectra.

Nick will mention something about karma and all the damage Adam’s done, so Sally will glare at him and hope he’s not implying that Adam deserved that loss.

After Nick insists no one deserves to lose a child like that, he’ll try to smooth things over and fail miserably.

Sally will point out she’s made mistakes as well and will wonder if Nick thinks her loss was inevitable, too.

However, Nick will insist that’s not what he meant at all and will try to apologize.

There’ll still be tension, but Nick will convince Sally to talk about her new interior design firm and his investment instead.

In the park later, Nick will run into Adam, who’ll congratulate him on the job offer at Newman Enterprises and argue that he sincerely means it.

Nick will wish he could trust anything Adam says and will confess that it’d be nice to have a real brother, but he’ll obviously doubt that Adam’s really changed.

Nevertheless, Adam will mention skeptical Victor’s visit earlier and hold out hope that they can all figure things out.

At the Chancellor mansion, Sharon will visit Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and calm her down since she’ll worry it was a mistake to move Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) out of her usual home environment.

Sharon will assure Mariah that babies are adaptable and will think the real problem is Mariah’s stressed out about Aria’s hearing issues.

Fortunately, Sharon will offer a pep talk and some positive updates on the Kirsten Incorporated situation since Victor let her have it free and clear.

Sharon will also mention the news about Adam being forced out, so she’ll look forward to doing things her way – though she’ll hope Nick will come on board to help her pull it off.

At Newman Enterprises on Monday’s Y&R episode, Victoria will assure Nate that she’s just jet-lagged and hasn’t been avoiding him.

After making out with Nate to prove it, Victoria will talk to him about Victor’s changes at the company.

Nate will worry that Nick’s going to want him fired, but Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will interrupt their discussion followed by Victor.

Nikki will point out that if Nate is an obstacle to Nick coming back, then Nate should step down.

Victor won’t think that’s necessary at this point, but Nikki will privately ask Nate what he would’ve done if Victor had chosen differently.

Nate will contend that he would’ve stepped down if Victor and Victoria asked him to, so she’ll think he’s so smooth and always has an answer for everything.

When Nate wonders what he can do to prove himself, Nikki will suggest he should step down of his own volition.

Nate will refuse to do that until they hear what Nick’s decided.

After Nick flashes back to when he first joined Newman Enterprises, he’ll also flash back to when he first started running Crimson Lights with Sharon.

In the end, Nick will make a big announcement at Newman Enterprises, so Nikki, Victor, Victoria and Nate will all learn that he’s decided to help Sharon with Kirsten Incorporated.

That means Nick won’t be coming back to Newman Enterprises and working as Victoria’s co-CEO.

Once Sally returns to her suite and works on some design firm preparations, she’ll hear a knock at the door.

Sally will gaze through the peephole and see that it’s Adam, so she’ll fix her hair and primp a bit so she looks good before opening up.

After Sally lets Adam in, he’ll see all the work she’s doing on the new design firm and will feel certain she’s going to be a smashing success.

Sally will express concern for Adam, but he’ll insist she shouldn’t worry about him and will hint about being close to making his plan happen – one step at a time.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam could create trouble for himself if he surrenders to his worst impulses, so stay tuned.
