The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, May 11 – Sally & Nick Fight Over Adam – Daniel Texts Jack to Meet

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 11, teases that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will contemplate texting Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) to meet, but then she’ll walk in the coffeehouse before he can send it.

Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will offer Summer a hug and compassion, which will leave Daniel disgusted with his sister for accepting sympathy and wanting to send Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to prison for a crime she didn’t commit.

Summer will act like Daniel is being judgmental and will suggest it was a mistake to tell him the truth about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) survival.

Daniel will mention the silent call that Phyllis possibly made to him and will continue his tense conversation with Summer, so Sharon will see the friction as she watches nearby.

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will also pick up on the hostility as he spies the siblings out of earshot.

Once Summer leaves, Chance will talk to Daniel about the case and how he doesn’t believe Diane acted alone.

Daniel will wonder if there are leads that might exonerate Diane, but Chance will feel confident there’ll be enough evidence to get justice for Phyllis – even if someone helped Diane pull off the crime.

Outside Society, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will call Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to let her know McCall Unlimited is officially in his hands. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gave Adam autonomy, so he’ll be eager to put his team in place.

Although Adam won’t want to pressure Sally, he’ll make it clear that he thinks she could do great things for the company.

After Adam disconnects and enters the restaurant, he’ll trade barbs with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) at their table.

Adam will gloat about taking over McCall Unlimited and wonder how Tucker let things get so bad there, but Ashley will defend Tucker and send Adam on his way.

Back with Sally in the park, she’ll give Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) the news about Adam’s offer.

Nick will seem offended over Sally considering taking a job with Adam when she refused Nick’s investment in her venture.

Nick will also think Adam is just trying to pull Sally closer and chip away at all the boundaries, but Sally will seem insulted since she’s good at what she does and would be of value to Adam.

Furthermore, Sally will feel like she has to start thinking about supporting her daughter – and she’ll want a career for her own satisfaction, too.

Nick will argue that if Sally takes this job, it’ll be one of the biggest mistakes she’s ever made. As far as Nick’s concerned, it’ll just be Adam and Victor’s way of exerting their control.

Sally will eventually take off despite Nick’s pleas to talk things out, so she’ll end up back in her GCAC suite soon after.

Once Sally summons Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), she’ll get a similar reaction about the job offer and how working for Adam again would mean getting sucked back into a black hole.

Chloe will feel like Sally should reconsider Nick’s investment and will suggest it’d be a horrible idea for Sally to tie herself to Adam through work, especially when they’re already going to be co-parenting.

Although Adam’s offer included Chloe, she’ll refuse to accept it and will contend that Sally will be flying solo if she moves forward at McCall Unlimited.

After Chloe stomps off, Sally will make a pros and cons list as she wonders what she’s going to do.

At Jabot on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will hope to put a pin in the tension with Ashley and genuinely talk for a moment.

Ashley will agree to try, but it won’t take long for things to get heated in Jack’s office.

Jack will act like Ashley’s reaction to Diane is more about her own feelings for Tucker.

It’ll leave Jack reflecting on how he ran from his feelings for Diane initially, too.

However, Jack won’t think Tucker has truly changed, so Ashley will lash out over him thinking the Diane the accused murderer has instead.

Although Ashley will argue that Jack’s exhausting himself dealing with all Diane’s drama, he’ll urge Ashley to save some pity for herself as she storms out.

At the Abbott estate, Tucker will talk to Diane on the patio about how she needs a way out of this jam.

Since the evidence against Diane is overwhelming, Tucker will insist she doesn’t want Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to watch her get convicted.

Instead of making her loved ones endure her prison sentence, Tucker will contend that he can help Diane disappear with money and a new identity.

Diane will shut down Tucker’s offer, but she’ll get upset as she updates Jack afterward.

Although Diane will insist she never should’ve come back if she was going to cause so much pain, Jack won’t want her to talk like that.

After Jack’s pep talk, Diane will assure him that she won’t run and will seem a little more hopeful about the situation.

At Crimson Lights, Daniel will send a cryptic text to Jack that asks if they can meet since there’s something Jack needs to hear.

In the park again, Nick will cross paths with Adam and blast him over the job offer he made Sally.

Adam will insist that Sally is “damn good” and will argue that she’d be doing a favor if she joined McCall Unlimited.

Since Sally went running to Nick to discuss the offer, Adam will wonder if she cares more about Nick’s feelings than her own feelings.

Nick will note that Sally wanted him to weigh in since they’re in a relationship, but Adam won’t see why she puts any faith in Nick at all.

After Adam points out that Nick isn’t married to Sally or even engaged, he’ll doubt that Nick’s really in this for the long haul.

Adam will insist that he can say with complete certainty that he loves Sally and will always be there for her, but he’ll question if Nick can say the same.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that one Newman brother will be disappointed no matter what Sally decides, so stay tuned to Y&R.
