The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, May 25 – Summer Meets Mom - Chance Finds Proof Phyllis Alive

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 25, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will meet with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and insist that he needs to follow up on Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) latest clue.

Chance will want to search the motel room himself, so Christine will decide she can’t stop him and will urge him to keep her posted.

At Crimson Lights, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will order two coffees and a big bag of carbs, so Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will comment on her sounding like Phyllis.

Summer will hint that her mom’s not fading away anytime soon and will bump into Chance on her way out.

Although Chance won’t have updates to report, he’ll hint about maybe making some progress today and will plan to get back to Summer if he does.

Summer will end up getting a text from Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who’ll secretly settle in a suite at the athletic club.

Phyllis will urge Summer to check her back pocket for the keycard and will summon her to the right room number.

It turns out Phyllis followed Summer to slip her that keycard when she wasn’t looking. Summer will happily hug Phyllis as they reunite and confirm that they weren’t followed.

Once Summer admits she’s got bad news, she’ll mention that she told Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) about Phyllis being alive.

Since Daniel has been spreading the secret like crazy, Summer will have concerns.

Phyllis won’t blame Summer or even Daniel, but she’ll wonder if Christine and Chance believe the story.

Summer will point out that Christine doesn’t believe it, so Phyllis will think it’s because Christine is so overjoyed at the thought of her being dead.

After Summer says Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) are determined to prove Phyllis is still out there, Phyllis will suggest that’s only because they want Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to go free.

Summer will also mention that Daniel claimed he was the one who saw Phyllis to protect her, but she’ll feel like her brother boxed her in with another lie.

Although it was indeed Phyllis on the silent call with Daniel, hearing his voice won’t be enough.

Phyllis will want to reunite with Daniel in person since he’s in the loop now.

Of course, Summer will shut down the idea since Daniel would go straight to the cops and tell them she’s in town.

Since Phyllis had made Summer’s life complicated enough, she’ll warn her mom not to fight her on this.

Back with Chance, he’ll order coffee from Sharon and confirm that he wasn’t behind the Champagne bottle gift.

Sharon will turn down Chance’s offer to look into it for her, but he’ll push her to get in touch if anything else happens.

After Chance searches the motel room and comes up empty, he’ll dig through the dumpsters outside.

Chance will find a program for Phyllis’ memorial service, so he’ll call forensics to see if they can get fingerprints off paper that’s been sitting in the garbage for a few weeks.

The person on the other end of the line will seem hopeful about that.

Chance will also ask if they can get DNA from a tear stain, even if there’s mascara in it.

Once Chance seemingly gets a positive response, he’ll plan to rush the evidence right over.

In the park, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will admit that although she’s attracted to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and opening her heart more each day, she’s not quite ready to call it love.

Tucker will wish Ashley could accept him for who he is instead of who he might become, but he’ll seem encouraged over Ashley’s enthusiasm over all the fake wedding and honeymoon plans.

Ashley will acknowledge that she asked Tucker to move in because she wanted it to work out.

After Ashley hints that the rest might work out too, she’ll share a passionate kiss with Tucker.

At the jazz lounge, Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) will worry that Tucker’s going to hurt Ashley again and will fret over all the engagement talk.

Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James)) will seem skeptical about Tucker being capable of retiring and taking a step back from scheming.

That’ll leave Abby fearful about Tucker going after Jabot again, so she’ll vow not to let that happen and will add that she’ll crush Tucker first.

Devon will suggest he could bond with his father like Tucker wants. That way, Tucker might slip up and alert Devon to any plans that might be cooking up.

Devon will assure Abby that if Tucker’s trying to pull anything, he’ll crush him so that she doesn’t have to.

After Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) returns from New York, she’ll find Daniel and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) at the GCAC.

Lucy will want Lily to join in their dinner plans for the evening, which will include having a meal with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

At Society on Thursday’s Y&R episode, the kids will sit at one table while the adults suffer through an awkward dinner at another.

Lily will mention Billy’s favorite crab enchiladas and seem to know more about him than Chelsea does.

Likewise, Billy will shut down Daniel’s idea that Lily might’ve been interested in a musical since she hates them.

Meanwhile, Johnny and Connor will explain all the complex family connections to Lucy, so she’ll share some of her own and totally get it.

Although Connor will have a nice time at first, he’ll eventually become a bit of a third wheel since Johnny will have a crush on Lucy and will get her phone number.

After Johnny and Lucy skip off together, Connor will seem glum as he talks to Chelsea and asks if they can just go home.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Connor has more problems ahead of him, so stay tuned to see how Chelsea will handle all the drama.
