The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, May 31 – Sally’s Preeclampsia, Cameron Finds Mom-to-Be in Distress

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 31, teases that Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) will spot Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at Society before heading to the park, where he’ll find Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) in distress.

Sally will admit to getting dizzy due to some double vision, so Cameron will offer to call someone since he won’t feel right leaving her like this.

When Sally can’t get in touch with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), she’ll reach out to Adam for help instead. Adam will rush right over and suggest they should visit Sally’s OB-GYN just to be on the safe side.

Sally will want to thank the man who was helpful to her earlier, but she’ll assume he left since she won’t see him anywhere.

After Sally’s emergency appointment, she’ll be upset over the news that she’s at risk for preeclampsia and will feel like she must’ve done something wrong.

Adam will shut down that idea and reassure Sally that she can follow the doctor’s orders.

Sally will worry about her business venture as well, but Adam will think she should delegate and give Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) a chance to shine.

Once Sally praises Adam for being so calm and reasonable, he’ll insist it’s because he’s putting Sally and the baby first.

Adam will admit he’s glad Sally called him instead of Nick, but the look on her face will let him know she tried Nick beforehand.

After Adam insists he’s fine with that, Sally will ask him to stay with her a little longer.

At Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) place, she’ll seem distracted before urging Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) to go have fun elsewhere while she cleans up with Nick.

Once Sharon and Nick are alone, she’ll show him the latest delivery from Cameron, which was an empty cigar box with a matchbook from the motel where he attacked her.

When Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) arrives, he’ll offer updates on Cameron getting released after his original sentence and relocating to Los Angeles.

That’s where Cameron was arrested again for assaulting his girlfriend.

After Chance shows off a picture, he’ll point out that the girlfriend looked just like Sharon and will doubt that was a coincidence. Cameron was released six months ago, but Chance will note that his whereabouts are now unknown.

Sharon will tell Chance the story of how Cameron took advantage of the situation when she was depressed and drunk over troubles in her marriage.

Cameron got violent with Sharon when they slept together, but she made the mistake of thinking she could handle him on her own in the aftermath.

That led to another meeting and an attempt to silence Cameron, who was obsessed and out of control.

A major showdown ensued, so Sharon whacked Cameron in the head with a Champagne bottle and hid the body after thinking she killed him. Cameron came back and “haunted” Sharon before unleashing even more drama, which culminated with a faceoff on a plane.

Sharon will flash back to Nick coming to her rescue before they parachuted down with Cameron in tow. Cameron was injured and ultimately arrested, so Sharon thought the nightmare was over.

Now Nick and Sharon will worry about the possibility of Cameron coming back to Genoa City, so they’ll push Chance to figure out where he is and what he’s up to.

Back in the park, Faith will accidentally bump into Cameron and apologize for not watching where she was going. Cameron will assure Faith that it was no problem as he puts on a nice guy act.

At Crimson Lights, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that they were just talking about the proof of Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) survival.

Kyle will confirm that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is free, so Summer will act like that’s great news and ask Kyle’s forgiveness for the way she’s been behaving.

After Kyle assures Summer that he understands, he’ll take her home – only for Summer to announce she’s got some things to do at the office.

Kyle will end up following Summer to the athletic club to deliver a forgotten tablet, so he’ll wonder what she’s doing there instead of Marchetti.

Summer will cover by acting like she wanted to pick up a gift certificate for Diane.

After deciding everything else can wait, Summer will return home with Kyle for the homecoming celebration.

At Society on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will quiz Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about getting married to Daniel when they were basically kids.

Lily will point out that they were way too young to be tying the knot, but Lucy will love the idea of them being star-crossed lovers who found their way back to each other.

When Daniel arrives, he’ll send Lucy over to the bar for pie while he tells Lily about the new evidence that freed Diane.

Daniel will also find out that Lucy somehow found out about his marriage to Lily, who’ll end up sharing some inside jokes with Lucy later.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Daniel and Lily seem poised to grow even closer in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
