The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will do his best to pull back from Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) following Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) advice.
Although Billy really wants to stay the course and keep building his bond with Chelsea, Sharon has concerns about her dependence on him.
So much of Chelsea’s recovery has been tied to Billy, so can she really stand on her own?
Chelsea believes she can, but Billy will still feel the need to create some emotional distance that leaves her unsettled.
The longer this goes on, the more Chelsea may miss Billy and fear she did something wrong.
Chelsea might find herself worrying that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was right to tell her to keep her guard up.
Although Chelsea would probably stop short of thinking Billy is toxic, she may understand why Adam’s been trying to warn her.
In other words, Chelsea may be hurt when Billy tries to create both emotional and physical distance out of the blue.
Billy may not come around as much – and when he does, he may not be willing to connect with Chelsea in quite the same way.
Meanwhile, Adam and Chelsea have been connecting on a deeper level lately.
Chelsea has been there for Adam during all the baby drama with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), so Adam will certainly be there for Chelsea if she needs him over Billy’s weird behavior.
Will Y&R writers play around with the idea of a Chelsea and Adam reunion?
Even if Adam and Chelsea don’t actually get back together, there could be some vulnerable moments where they consider it or at least face some sizzling temptation.
If Billy and Sally witness a hot moment between Chelsea and Adam, that could be even better.
The show might stir up some jealousy from multiple angles and move some storylines along.
Bottom line, Billy’s going to push Chelsea away and pull a bit of a vanishing act from her life.
That news could be enough to draw Chelsea and Adam closer, which could bother Billy and maybe even Sally, too!
