The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the show could use some romantic shakeups and new storylines. That’s especially true when it comes to Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), who never has any stories of her own anymore.
Chloe is always there to lend a sympathetic ear to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) or meddle in Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) love life, but what’s going on in Chloe’s corner of the world?
Y&R rarely even lets Chloe talk about her life since she’s always so wrapped up in her friends’ drama.
It’d be great to see some of Chloe’s airtime devoted to her instead of just letting her talk to other people about their problems.
Although Chloe is seemingly happy with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), looks can be deceiving.
Everyone thought Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) were a solid couple too, but then they were suddenly spreading divorce news.
Since Kevin is barely on anyway, there’s no reason the show can’t give Chloe another love interest.
We can think of an easy option since Chance and Chloe were engaged years ago.
Although Y&R’s clearly pushing a Chance and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) pairing right now, that doesn’t mean it’ll work out long-term.
Sharon could easily end up back together with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) since they always seem to reunite eventually.
Regardless, Sharon and Chance are too much alike to be an interesting couple.
When you pair up two perfectly nice people, it almost never works and just ends up being a recipe for boredom.
Chance needs someone who’s a bit messy and challenging, so Chloe would be a good option since she can be both of those things.
What if after Chance and Sharon’s romance fizzles, he starts reconnecting with Chloe?
There’d be the potential for Chloe to have a hot affair with Chance, so that could bring some dramatic fallout with Kevin.
It’d also help Chance see how easy it is to fall into bed with someone familiar and comforting, so he might understand Abby’s actions with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) a little better.
Whatever the case, it’d be fun to see a Chloe and Chance romantic reboot, so stay tuned to see if they’ll make some updates to their relationship status sooner or later.
