The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) feels like he has a lot to make up for when it comes to his beloved daughter. Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) felt cast aside when Daniel let his own insecurities get in the way of their relationship.
Although Daniel faced some career setbacks, he’s on the right track now with his gaming platform.
Lucy hopes to be part of the testing team when the time comes, so that might involve a return trip to Genoa City.
Of course, Daniel and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) could be getting hot and heavy by then.
It looks like the upcoming bicentennial party will bring these exes much closer, so that’ll set the stage for Lily and Daniel to surrender to their mutual feelings.
Now that Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) has moved on with another man, there’s no reason Daniel can’t move on with Lily.
Lily and Daniel had a wonderful story of young love, but now they have a chance at a new adult chapter together.
However, the show will have to throw some obstacles in Daniel and Lily’s path soon enough.
Lucy could end up being a big one, especially if she indeed returns to GC down the road.
If Y&R wants a hurdle that could come between Lily and Daniel, it makes sense to use Lucy.
For starters, Lucy is just entering her angsty teen years and isn’t impressed by much of anything these days.
That could make it hard for Lily to win Lucy over, no matter how hard she tries.
Part of Lucy might even be holding out hope for Daniel to get back together with Heather, so that could be another strike against Lily.
Plus, Lucy might view Lily as someone who’s stealing Daniel away from her.
Perhaps Lucy will worry that Daniel will just pull back again if he throws all his energy into his romantic relationship.
If Lucy decides to stick around instead of returning to Portugal, that could really complicate things for Lily and Daniel.
It seems like Daniel is at a point in his life where he wants to put Lucy first, but that could mean keeping Lily at a distance.
