The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) will inevitably face Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) fury once she’s finally apprehended. Since Phyllis set her rival up for murder, Diane will certainly want her to pay for her crimes.
Of course, Phyllis also stabbed Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) to death with scissors, but she did that in self-defense.
Even so, Phyllis will have her work cut out for her when it comes to getting off the hook for her faked death and this situation with Jeremy, especially since she disposed of his body.
It’s kind of a cop-out for the show to act like Phyllis was coerced into this mess since Jeremy was clear about it being her choice.
After mulling it over, Phyllis was the one who showed up on Jeremy’s doorstep insisting she was in!
Jeremy even gave Phyllis multiple chances to back out, but she was always adamant about going through with their scheme and making Diane suffer.
Although Phyllis had regrets in the aftermath, that doesn’t erase her vindictive actions.
With that in mind, Phyllis honestly deserves to face some consequences, but she might avoid legal ones based on how this is playing out so far.
Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) is acting like his mom was under Jeremy’s control and has insisted that Phyllis shouldn’t face jail time.
Although it isn’t up to Daniel, there’s a good chance Phyllis will indeed wiggle out of a lengthy prison sentence.
Jeremy did turn into a monster at the end, so Phyllis had every right to defend herself. That said, it’s not fair for Phyllis to target Diane in such an extreme way and get off scot-free.
If Phyllis indeed escapes major charges and avoids the slammer, it could really drive Diane off the rails.
How far will Diane go to make sure Phyllis pays the price anyway?
Diane could easily be driven to take matters into her own hands with a new revenge plot.
That’s the kind of thing that could cost Diane her relationship with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) if she takes it too far.
If Diane fights back and loses Jack by going to extremes as well, maybe Phyllis’ plan will still work out for her in the end!
