The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will be in for the shock of his life when he discovers Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) isn’t his biological son.
Back when Diane Jenkins (Susan Walter) was pregnant with Kyle, she wasn’t sure if his father was Jack or Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Kyle was born on January 8, 2001. Diane named him Christian Victor Newman initially.
Diane had a frozen semen sample of Victor’s in her closet. Then the sample went missing, and she located it at the lab. She stole it from the lab, which promptly injected it inside her.
At the same time, she was sleeping with Jack. She never considered Jack a potential father, claiming Kyle’s father was Victor.
What if there was a third option? It’s clear that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and Diane have a long, complicated history. We still don’t know how long they’ve known each other.
Jeremy could have been someone she’s known for decades. That could be why she ran to Los Angeles after she faked her death in 2011.
Let’s suppose that Jeremy is Kyle’s biological father. We know there was a DNA test proving Jack was Kyle’s dad. However, DNA tests are easily altered in soap operas, so we can’t trust the result.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Diane keeps her secrets close carefully so as not to reveal too much to Jack. Jeremy could know that Kyle’s his son, and that’s one of the things he’s holding over Diane.
Diane knows that it would break him if Jack found out that Kyle isn’t his son. He wouldn’t trust her, no matter how much she’s changed. He would wonder why she left Kyle with him, knowing that it wasn’t his child.
It would shake up the storyline as Jack would face the ultimate betrayal as he discovers that his last surviving child is not his biological son.
The real question remains, what does Jeremy want from Diane? Perhaps, he was looking for what she wanted when returning to her old stomping grounds – a relationship with his son, Kyle?
