The Young and the Restless (Y&R) for the next two weeks, January 16 to January 27, tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will make some disturbing discoveries. The week of January 16-20 will lead to Summer realizing Kyle has once again been keeping secrets related to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and all her Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) drama.
Kyle will insist he didn’t want to stress Summer out, but she’ll be more stressed than ever when she learns Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has stolen an extremely valuable necklace from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Jack will argue that they can use the necklace to dupe Jeremy and have it back in Nikki’s secret compartment before she ever finds out.
Even so, a theft of this magnitude will leave Summer furious and worried about the toll Diane’s mayhem is taking on her family.
It looks like Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei) will play both referee and marriage counselor, but things may get worse before they get better when it comes to Kyle and Summer’s strained romance.
Summer will also battle concerns once Kyle considers Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) proposal.
Victor will want Kyle’s help setting Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) up to get fired at Jabot, so Summer will feel like there’s just too much scheming going on.
Back with Jack and Diane, they’ll both take quite a gamble.
However, Diane may take the biggest risk since she’ll be facing Jeremy alone when she presents the necklace.
Jeremy will put that necklace on Diane and push for a kiss to seal their alliance. Diane will grant Jeremy’s wish, but he may want to hit the sheets soon after.
That could leave Diane asking herself whether she’s willing to take her plot to that level.
Regardless, Diane will have to be careful since Jeremy can be a pretty vengeful criminal when he wants to be.
Nikki will eventually have questions for Diane and Jack, so they may have some explaining to do regarding Jeremy and the stolen necklace.
After Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) rejections, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will be feeling down in the dumps.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will battle doubts about Tucker’s next steps, but he may actually decide to “burn it all down” like he promised.
Other Y&R spoilers say Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will all have dinner together.
It’ll be a big step that helps Victoria and Chelsea find common ground, so it looks like they’ll strike a deal for peace as Connor and Johnny grow closer.
Unfortunately, common ground will be harder for Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to find as they continue to clash over the merger.
Despite Devon’s desire to buy back Hamilton-Winters, Lily will try to block him with a mutually beneficial counterproposal.
Jill will hope to settle things down and avoid any more damage to Lily’s sibling bond with Devon. We’ll also see Lily try to work through some post-breakup tension with Billy, but it won’t be easy.
Once Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) return from their meeting with the potential birth mom, they’ll have some surprising news regarding the adoption.
Whether that news is good or bad, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will be eager for updates and will continue to give Chance Chancellor (Conner Flouyd) advice in her free time.
As Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) pitch to Jill approaches, she’ll get caught with morning sickness.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will finally just ask Sally if that’s what she’s dealing with, so Sally will come clean about her pregnancy.
During the week of January 23-27, Victor will reach out to Jill and hope she can help him out.
There’ll be a favor Victor’s looking for, so we’ll see if Jill can come through for him.
Could this involve Victor trying to acquire a piece of Chancellor-Winters – like Daniel’s gaming division?
Victor will want an enticing job waiting for Adam to get him back in the Newman fold, so keep that in mind.
The January 25 episode will be all about Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) as the show honors Bregman’s 40th anniversary.
Lauren will also be honored with a special award – and she’ll get a welcome visit with Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker) as she accepts it.
Back with Kyle and Summer, their marriage conflict will get even worse.
Kyle’s support of Diane will push Summer over the edge and launch another round of hostility.
Meanwhile, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will face some suspicions when it comes to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and her motives.
It’s possible Audra has her eye on Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) romantically, but she could also have her eye on Nate’s job!
Although Audra will get started as Newman Media’s COO, she might have her heart set on the CEO spot eventually.
Nate will have to be careful in more ways than one when it comes to Audra.
