The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick’s Prison Shocker – Why Joshua Morrow Wants Character Behind Bars

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is currently involved in Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby drama, which is on the verge of exploding into a paternity mystery.

Of course, storylines like this are typical on a soap. It certainly isn’t the first time Nick’s been caught up in a paternity scandal and may not be the last!

Y&R stories tend to come back around eventually, so we want to talk about another potential repeat story for Nick.

In the new issue of SOD, Joshua Morrow opened up about Nick’s 1995 prison stint for the attempted murder of Matt Clark (Eddie Cibrian).

That was followed by another 2001 prison sentence after Matt faked his death and framed Nick for his murder.

It turns out Joshua Morrow absolutely loved the chance to play Nick’s time in the slammer.

As for whether Morrow would be down for another prison sentence for Nick, he had an enthusiastic response.

“Absolutely,” Morrow said. “Like anybody on the show, we just want movement, we want things to do, we want to mix it up and share the stage with talented people.”

Morrow went on to talk about enjoying all the highs and lows for his character.

When it comes to Nick, Morrow wants a chance to play happiness, heartbreak and everything in between.

“I want it all,” Morrow insisted.

Since Morrow would be interested in Nick landing in prison again, maybe the writers should listen.

It’d be easy to set up a situation where Nick ends up in a cell.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could perhaps frame Nick for a crime to get him out of the picture.

Nick could be arrested and have to fight to prove he’s an innocent man.

On the other hand, Nick might go into protective dad mode if Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) revenge plot blows back on Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier).

That could lead to deadly consequences for Jeremy and legal ramifications for Nick.

There are plenty of reasons why Nick could go back to prison, so we’ll give you updates if Nick is ever in danger of a repeat stint there.

What would you like to see next for Nick? Do you think another round of gritty prison drama sounds fun?

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick will deal with paternity news in the meantime, so stay tuned to Y&R!
