The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may make the mistake of letting Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) get inside his head. There’s a lot at stake for these feuding brothers since they want to be with the same woman.
On Y&R’s May 11 episode, Adam pointed out that Nick wasn’t married to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) or even engaged, so he used that to downplay the notion of Nick’s latest romance being a meaningful one.
As far as Adam’s concerned, Nick merely likes Sally and will lose interest once the infatuation fades – not like Adam, who loves Sally and fully intends to be there for her no matter what.
Adam noted that Nick doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to relationships that stand the test of time.
That’s why Adam feels like Nick is putting on an act and just pretending that he’s in this for the long haul.
Adam’s comments could prompt a big response from Nick, who may decide he needs to prove to Sally that he’ll stick around.
That’s especially true now that Nick’s fought with Sally about her career and perhaps wants to make it up to her.
Nick may plan a romantic night to declare his love and propose marriage to Sally, which might be the worst possible thing he could do.
Even if Nick opts for a subtler approach and just starts dropping hints about wedding plans, he could at least want Sally to know he envisions marriage in their future.
Nick may paint quite a picture for Sally of their wonderful home life if they tie the knot. However, Sally might view a marriage proposal or any wedding talk in a negative light right now.
It’d be easy for Sally to argue that Adam’s job offer got under Nick’s skin and caused him to spin out.
Sally might feel like Nick’s trying to manipulate her and lash out over any suggestions about their nuptials.
There’s even a chance Adam was playing mind games with Nick in hopes that this would happen.
Adam might’ve hoped that Nick would try to make some bold relationship updates and scare Sally off.
Whatever the case, Adam may spark a disastrous idea for Nick if he causes him to pop the question!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick could be on the verge of losing Sally, which could be good news for Adam and his own reunion dreams.
